Off topic here but from the looks of it Lemmy requires a serious amount of time and work. Is the development team working on this full time in lieu of a full time programming job? Or is a passion project in addition to your real live duties?

harpuajim@lemmy.mltoReddit@lemmy.ml•Did anyone try to return to reddit and notice it just didn't do it for you anymore?English6·2 years agoI still use it from time to time because sometime I just need the information I’m looking for. I’ve justified it telling myself that I’m using it 1/100th of the time I used tt and only use it when necessary.

If you’re going to buy second hand then you’d be better off with a WMR or Oculus device.

I would say Pokerstars VR if you like playing cards or general casino gaming but the game has taken a shit in the past year. Still fun and extremely social but the quality has taken a nosedive on PC.
Pixel 4a, best phone ove ever had. This is the last year for OS updates so I gave to either roll with an unsupported OS or move to something like Lineage
Is there a way to have a certain site not show up on a google search?
Same here. I won’t move to 11 until I absolutely have to.
Windows 10 because I don’t want to deal with the hassle of anything else.
harpuajim@lemmy.mltoReddit@lemmy.ml•The Apollo dev banned and removed all my comments suggesting Lemmy as an alternative to reddit.61·2 years agoI would definitely contact the mod(s) of that subreddit and explain the situation. It may be an auto-ban based on language in the post but with some human to human context it could get sorted out.
harpuajim@lemmy.mltoReddit@lemmy.ml•A developer says Reddit could charge him $20 million a year to keep his app working9·2 years agoI mean I can understand charging for it but make it reasonable. In that Apollo post yesterday he said that he has a deal with imgur (which he says is similar to reddit in API requests) which charges him around $130 per 50 million requests whereas reddit wants $12k. It’s an absurd amount of money to ask which convinces me they’re doing it specifically to snuff out 3rd party apps forcing their users to use their terrible apps on iOS and Android. If so then I’m perfectly happy deleting my reddit account and using a site like this or something else to get my news/interests.
harpuajim@lemmy.mltoReddit@lemmy.ml•A developer says Reddit could charge him $20 million a year to keep his app working2·2 years agoThat’s seems to be the progression of sites like that. Starts out great but then gets larger and larger until the content quality just isn’t the same anymore.

The reddit app on android is dogshit and RIF is a much better product. I hope if they go this route then hopefully they end up like digg.
Fuck I loved the Sims 2
