I love the theme too, but South Park ruined it for me. I can’t listen to it anymore without hearing “Wiener, weiner-weiner…” in the back of my mind :(

dmention7@lemm.eetoToday I learned@lemmy.ml•TIL Danny Trejo has a clause in his movie contracts that requires his villainous characters to die by the end of the film. He wants children to learn that crime doesn't pay.English19·2 months agoThat’s a strange take…
How many of these movies feature him getting captured and executed by the state? (None that I am aware of)
And how many feature him getting killed by members of the criminal life his character is involved in? (Most or all)
That’s the entire point–other criminals generally don’t care about the justice system or the value of life, so don’t get involved with that shit.
Given your instance, I’m guessing you’re not from the US… but here there are two generally standard shapes for residential toilets–round and oblong. The round ones fit better in small bathrooms, but man when you are used to the oblong shape it feels like sitting on a child-size toilet or something.
I bought a set of mugs like that recently. It’s a shame because they are pretty nice looking, and comfortable to hold when empty. But when full of hot liquid, the handle just is totally inadequate.
They are from IKEA, so at least they didn’t cost too much, but I am a little surprised because their stuff is generally pretty well thought out from an ergonomics and usability perspective–it’s only really the sturdiness/durability I ever worry about.
The best mugs I have are still a pair of the stereotypical featureless cylinder type I got from a giveaway 10 or 15 years ago–they are utterly boring, but the handle fits 3 fingers for a perfectly stable grip!
You can tell OP does not believe any person outside of America is human.
You did a lot more than conclude they have either been tuned out or need to re-think some things, and you know it.
Get out of here with that "If you’re not vocally against every evil at all times… " bullshit. It’s got the same energy as injecting “but what about men?” into every conversation about women’s problems.
For me anyways, it’s less “what was I doing?” and more “how do I not be an incompetent combat derp?”
I recently fired up God of War after a few months on a different game and promptly got slaughtered for the next 90 minutes straight until I could re-learn all the combos, special abilities, and enemy attack patterns.
That’s a dope resource thanks!
dmention7@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•whats something that brings you back to your childhood happy place?English8·10 months agoSnow is a great example. As a kid, snow was freedom from school, a sculpting medium, a sledding surface, a new landscape to explore…
As an adult, it mostly means tangled commutes and manual labor.
Granted, a gentle snowstorm can be pretty nice when you don’t have work the next day, but it doesn’t have the same magic it did.

dmention7@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.ml•Google declares the end of the World Wide WebEnglish9·1 year agoI do find it interesting/funny that Google felt the need to actually provide this, as a sort of acknowledgement that their main search “results” page is so full of random info boxes and generated content that people can’t find actual links anymore.
Personally, and In principle at least, this makes sense. About half of my web searches are looking for a quick answer to a question (what’s the per pound cook time for a frozen turkey?), so having that answer highlighted and summarized alongside the source is very useful. It’s actually the minority of the time that what I really want is a link to an external resource.
The effectiveness of that implementation and the accuracy of the summarized info is a whole other topic…
people who liked to keep an even achievement score
Wait, what? Was this some kind of meta game people played, or just some weird compulsion like having to have the volume set to multiples of five?
Ha! It took me a minute too to realize that having to google WTF a skibidi toilet is was the Millennial test, not being expected to know it.
Finally, a sterotype of “millennial” that recognizes we kinda be old now!

Mostly because we usually had breakfast after mass, so I was hungry as hell by the time communion came around, but also because it meant it was almost over.

The big one for me is drag/drop, copy/paste, saving of emails and attachments between Outlook and the rest of Windows/Office is completely borked.
I have to keep both versions open at work to keep from going completely insane.

Seriously though, slowly pulling out one of those boogers that tickles your brain is a unique joy.
Not sure if it’s totally your vibe, but Machinae Supremacy is more on the rock/metal side of gaming themed music with a lot of C64 chiptune layers.
“Indiscriminate Murder is Counter-Productive” is one of my faves from them.
Proton VPN absolutely does support port forwarding, just not on the free tier.
