“If you were able to overlook a genocide and cast a vote for Harris, you already know how a conservative was able to overlook Trump’s extremism and vote for him.” – Historian Robin D.G. Kelley

Microsoft shouldn’t have killed Wordpad. Imagine if they updated it instead with docx compatibility.
Using Linux in the university back in 2004 helped make the jump to Linux at home and I have been using it for 20 years now.
The first time I ever used Linux was in high school around 2001-2002. I don’t remember what the distro was but it had drawing issues, clearly some kind of driver issue that I couldn’t figure out, on my PC so I switched back to Windows 98SE.
Not what op asked for, but it kept away from Linux at home until 2007. I started using Linux regularly in university around 2004.
The last administration proposed sanctioning the ICC
Finally, I will get to finish my backlog
You are welcome. Don’t feel bad about it, in Arabic p and b, and f and v, sound the same and are often confused. Pepsi gets transliterated as بيبسي bibsi for example, Arabic also doesn’t have e or o. I just wish people wouldn’t start conspiracy theories based on transliterations. In some languages election and erection are easily confused, now that could be the seed for a fun conspiracy.
In Arabic عبادة (worship) and إبادة (extermination) sound nothing alike and are obviously spelled differently, the past tense (root form) of each is very different عبد vs باد. However transliterated into English and many other languages they end up being the same: ibadah. Other words that are sometimes confused by non-Arabic speakers include مكة (Makkah) and المقة (Almaqah) which sound nothing alike in Arabic but has been a source of conspiracies among non-Arabic speakers who think that they are etymologically related.
This more or less. Not only all the different religions that people sincerely believe in, but also the diversity within each religion, too. If they can’t make up their mind how can I?
Not just Unix-like but actually ancestrally Unix as well as being certified as Unix
I used LibreOffice and before that OpenOffice and recently switched to OnlyOffice. I find OnlyOffice more pleasant mostly because I like the UI.
No you are not. I do it too.
Personal projects aside, I work for a major industrial technology company in the US East Coast and we are looking into it just in case. It may not be what we want but we are definitely trying it out.
It is okay we are good. Already more than 3500 9900 have forked DeepSeek.
Wild that it almost tripled in the 48 hours since I last checked.
Yes. Blood thicker than water. I have family that I dislike I will still attend weddings and funerals and I will still be there for them.
Corporations have no lasting value or moral.
My iPhone 13 mini will be my last iPhone. They lost me when it turned out they donate to illegal settlements in the West Bank. This is just more fuel to the fire.
Do you want to know how it works internally or how you can administer it more effectively? The two are very different. I was always more interested in the former than the latter and at one point read through Linux kernel 0.1 source code. I want to know how a kernel and a file system works but I can’t be bothered with configurations and shell scripts. The good thing about Linux whatever you want, the resources and the source are available.
Good luck.
