i find it’s a lot healthier to think of generative AI as a search engine for text.

Her deep voice at the end always makes me giggle.
“C’mon Rigby, we have to attack and dethrone God. It’s the only way, let’s GOOOOOO”

mitch@beehaw.orgto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What would be the specific applications of a room temperature superconductor?8·2 years agoIt would take maglev from a laboratory technology to a common one. That would be an enormous boon to rail tech, especially in high density corridors.

I don’t really have any major issues with it yet, except that I can’t assign a shortcut to go to the comments from a gesture. It’s just a habit from a previous Reddit app that’s tough to break.
mitch@beehaw.orgto Technology@beehaw.org•[It is LIVE!] Sync for Lemmy - Apps on Google Play5·2 years agoI’ve already gotten an update to the app since I installed it this morning. A promising development pace. I paid for the year license cus you gotta spread the love on the Fedi.

Naw, but we do nod our heads to one another in passing greeting. It’s a way of life in Philly.
mitch@beehaw.orgto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•So what are the climate change denialists in your life saying right now?2·2 years agoYes absolutely. I need a second to get through Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
mitch@beehaw.orgto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•So what are the climate change denialists in your life saying right now?1·2 years agoThat’s my frustration. So many people in my life are so close to getting it. They see the effect, but they’re just dismissive of any cause that would cost them comfort.

mitch@beehaw.orgto Programmer Humor@lemmy.ml•Today i installed arch linux for the first timeEnglish2·2 years agoMmm, people only get so many bites at the “vociferously defending pedorasty’” apple before you’re written off in my eyes. He is far beyond that point, even after decades of having to listen to people make appeals to authority.
mitch@beehaw.orgto Programmer Humor@lemmy.ml•Today i installed arch linux for the first timeEnglish5·2 years agoYep. It’s possible to just pick your hardware, software, and other devices according to your needs. It always bums me out to see people limit themselves by stratifying along ideological lines.
Sometimes it’s enough that it’s fun to go on the computer, y’know?
I like it. I think if I had been a first time player (far from it — I played it at release), this would be a worthy way to experience the game. That said, playing it again just feels deeply discordant for me. It’s drop-dead gorgeous with the visuals, but the sound effects, NPC models, and so much more just remind me of the original jank, and it snaps me back and forth, lol. Going back to KCD2, cus it’s new to me.
