I don’t know, to me a * b * c is basically just the exact same as a • b • c but just easier to type on a computer. If you were writing it down on paper or a black board they would probably use dots. Coding often uses * because who wants to type in those dots would be a pain in the ass and the * basically looks the closest to a dot.

And no one has to work, they are provided with everything they need. Almost like a universal basic income or something.
Times that by 8 billions people and that many water molecules have been in any person pee currently alive.
Add in a another billion+ or so people for people who were alive before now and you’ve got even more waterolecules which have been in people’s pee.
Then add in all of the other mammals and vertebrates on earth and you’ve got MORE water molecules which have been in pee before.
That’s a lot of pee.
It’s fertilizer for my garden too
Pyr@lemmy.cato Open Source@lemmy.ml•Thunderbird "won't be adopting the firefox terms of use"141·2 months agoI mean, for now…
If terms of use aren’t regulated in any way apparently companies can change them whenever they fucking want to.
They can say this today and then a month from now completely backtrack just like Mozilla did…
Terms of use do not mean fucking anything.
Pyr@lemmy.cato Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If your government proposed an initiative to tackle fraud, but the initiative would cost more than it would save, would you support it or not?7·2 months agoI would say probably yes, because if you leave something like that unenforced, people learn that they can get away with it and the trend spreads.
Sure the enforcement might cost more than it saves today, but it quite likely might cost less than it would cost once the problem expands 5-10 years from today.
Pyr@lemmy.cato Technology@lemmy.ml•Bitcoin price falls by 17.5% in biggest monthly loss since 20222·2 months agoDoesn’t really matter if there is enforcement, something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
If someone is willing to pay $100k for 1 Bitcoin then that is what it’s worth.
If someone isn’t willing to pay $100k for a piece of property in Idaho, the police can’t force you to pay that much.
America will take Greenland, and then Canada is next being surrounded on three sides.
Can a NATO country invoke the defence pact if it’s attacked by another NATO country?
NATO vs America wasn’t on my bingo card.
I just want to swipe left and right to go back and forth between emails in my inbox ):
This looks more like a NIMBY living next to a park or school got mad at kids being too loud one day and went to home Depot to do this themself to try and punish them for having fun in a public space despite them probably getting the house for cheap because it’s nearby a loud area.

Pyr@lemmy.cato Steam@lemmy.ml•Do you overthink your Steam categories or are you normal?1·4 months agoI just have unplayed, installed locally, and good games.
I often forget to update the good games folder so it’s iffy as to whether or not all of my good games are in there yet at any given time.

Love the world and history and characters. Gameplay is now pretty shit.
Pyr@lemmy.cato Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you had the choice to be born would you have been born?2·5 months agoMaybe if I had the choice of where and when to be born. Much too risky to leave it up to chance though

How do you transport unconscious people to the hospital? Put out an apartment fire? Get to an armed robbery in time to stop it?
Bikes are great but they also aren’t an end all be all solution to society.
Pyr@lemmy.cato Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you could only have 1GB of entertainment data, what would it be?12·7 months agoI would probably choose my favourite movie in SD, a few dozen of my favourite songs, a few dozen old school games, and then fill out the rest with a few hundred ebooks.
Variety can be way more valuable than pure quantity.

Mmmm nobody, because I don’t respect or care for anyone who is considered to be a celebrity. I just don’t get it.
