  • ever? Totally used to. Social movements fought for the 40h work week in the 19th and early 20th century in many countries. Then the post-WW2 era was defined by Keynesian economics, and economic growth in Western economies actually translated into higher wages.

Then came neoliberalism, peddled by fraud economists like Hayek and Friedman, enacted by politicians like Raegan and Thatcher. Unions were weakened, and the rich were free to appropriate all the productivity gains and growth.

I recommend reading “The Hidden Doctrine”, short and easy book.

  • Mostly the FairbudsXL which are basically a scam, as the parts fail chronically but fairphone has abandoned the product and the firmware. I have bought the same replacement part 4 times. Also much of the product is proprietary and they don’t allow you to run your own software on them.

The fairphone itself is not awful and I’m still using my fairphone 4, but I increasingly get the idea that they are increasingly abandoning their values in favor of profits.

Ah thanks. You won’t believe me, but for German standards, feddit.org has a comparatively low zionism presence. It’s pretty bad over here.

The US is also deeply zionist, but most leftists there are not. Germany has the very strange Antideutsche movement which split off from the general antifascist movement, and bought into the lie of German Holocaust exceptionalism, where no crime against humanity can be compared to the Holocaust, no crime against humanity is off the table in the name of defending “Jewish life”, which is considered more precious than other life. They consider apartheid, colonialism and genocide a worthy or even justified sacrifice for the cause of showing just how guilty they feel for the Holocaust.

Not making any excuses for anybody to be clear, just trying to explain why in Germany zionism pervades even into otherwise leftist circles. I hate it.
