Well that tracks as Eli Roth has never made a good film.

Well how do you combat that if you are in a household or shared network with others who aren’t privacy conscious?
I had considered that, but that would mean they are collating and amalgamating data coming from a single IP, which is almost as bad as listening to my microphone. Both are data gathering without my permission.
I’m not so sure. I’m interested in this thread because I had a recent issue like this. I barely use Instagram, hadn’t booted the app for a month or something, only have it to support my SO’s art account. Never comment/DM, just likes. Had a lengthy in person conversation about tattoos and the idea of getting them at current location. I didnt do any searches on my phone or any other device for that matter. Don’t have any tattoos, or ever look at that content on insta (only follow art and wildlife photography accounts). Booted up Instagram that day and was getting purely adverts for local tattoos studios on my feed. Checked my permissions, all disabled. The only explanation I have is that it’s somehow still listening. That can’t possibly be a coincidence.

You could put them all in hotels for less than that, with the secondary effect of stimulating local businesses. Isn’t that what conservatives are all about? Or is it only when they own said businesses?
That’s true, but that only amounted to 9 meals out of 90 over the month. It wasn’t really the burning issue, just a knee jerk reaction to the title of the film.
His method wasn’t specifically about eating super-size, it was just that he ate nothing but McDonald’s for a month (and probably a lot of booze according to various sources).
Nice range of colours!
I’m so annoyed at the timing of this, I’m in a place far enough north to get decent views of it in winter (but it is always cloudy). Right now we don’t get full night so at 1am, the peak of darkness, it wasn’t super visible.
I have encountered this “American social issues transplanted” hand waving a lot in Europe. For example, I know a lot of Swedes who say this about a bunch of casually racist stuff (proclaiming Sweden to be very anti-racist). Meanwhile up north you see a lot of Classic American cars which are often casually emblazoned with Confederate flags and even displayed in proximity to Nazi memorabilia. Down south you have a rising right-wing party support fuelled by fear of immigrants from Africa/Middle East (eg. The non-white ones).
I understand you’re trying to educate yourself and that’s great, don’t take this as dunking on you more, as I feel like you’re in the smart minority by trying to learn and reason. It just really bugs me when I hear people say it’s a US problem. A lot of Europe is holding a lot of racist views (and in a lot of cases, horrific colonial history) and then turn around to say things like “why are my football players kneeling, BLM is an American issue”.

Guntrigger@sopuli.xyzto Gaming@beehaw.org•7 Days to Die is finally leaving early access, but console players will have to buy the 1.0 version again31·1 year agoThis feels borderline criminal. Yeah it’s 11 years old, but if someone told you that an early access game stays in early access a decade, that means you need to buy it again on release, would you?
I’ve listened to them a lot, but had never seen any music videos apart from Smoko. Need to have a watching session now!
