First, it’s true. Secondly, it matters a lot because there’s no fool proof way to update through the CLI that takes into account all of the software delivery methods that exist today so you could do use dnf to upgrade daily and still have old flatpak or viceversa. That’s exactly why Fedora recommends updating through the GUI.

Fedora discourages updating through the CLI.

Check this out. It only works on KDE, you have to compile it from source and it’s a pain in the ass to configure but it seems like it has all the features you’re looking for.

You might also need to add

set(CMAKE_POSITION_INDEPENDENT_CODE ON) 

to the CMakeLists to get it to compile.

God dman it. I just bought a Galaxy Fit last Sunday.

Fucking Hitman, man. It’s not only confusing, it’s bullshit. I had Hitman 1 and 2 and there’s a process to transfer them into Hitman 3 so that you only buy the Hitman 3 content so I tried it and… it failed. It just did. No error or anything, it just didn’t transfer shit. I tried again and it gave me an error saying I couldn’t transfer Hitman 1 and 2 more than once. Fucking Square Enix (or was it IO?).

I don’t use calc for much more than basic calculations. Even speedcrunch was too much for my taste. Honestly, I’d use bc if it wasn’t for the complicated syntax.

1. VLC with SMPlayer. I don’t understand why they keep shipping VLC as default. It sucks.
2. Kate with KWrite.
3. Nano with Vim in *buntu variants
4. Elisa, Rhythmbox, etc. with Strawberry. Although I mostly just use Spotify nowadays.
5. Calculator with calc.

Everything else works just fine, unless the distro made an insane choice like having XTerm as the default terminal emulator.
