I can say that as someone who has owned every one of Nintendo’s consoles and handhelds (even the Virtual Boy!), I have no intention of buying a Switch 2. Nintendo’s done plenty of shady stuff in the past, but everything about the Switch 2 smacks of arrogance and greed on a level beyond what they’ve done before.

It’s easier than ever to know what’s going on in the world. There is absolutely no excuse for not knowing how bad things are.
Not being able to do much of anything about it due to having to deal with day to day concerns, I get. But as an excuse for being ignorant? Absolutely not. That’s a deliberate choice.

I don’t know how this ends, but I know it’s going to get really bad.
The definition online says that the teeth of the gears are cogs, which I’d never heard of before.
Yes, Hanna-Barbera ripped off itself. Never heard of the Roman one!
Ripoff of The Flintstones, except the family is from the future rather than the past.
I always call it a gear.

It’s in character for Trevor to do this, but we should be able to choose not to be involved in it. All the same points can still be made if Trevor does it on his own.
With VI, Rockstar is going to have an Onion problem of trying to be satirical in an age when the US government has fully embraced fascism. In Florida, no less! I really hope the game is all anti-authority and there is NO cooperation with any government agencies, only killing them.

I always use the battery as few times as needed to get it over with, because it seems like the least horrible thing to do to him.

samus12345@lemm.eeto Memes@lemmy.ml•Don't blame Satan if things don't work out. It's God's plan right?English2·1 month agoHere’s an example of traceability. If the god of the bible were real, eternal, unchanging, etc., there would be no historical record of him being just another god in a pantheon until someone decided to make him THE god. This is just one example of many and you can do this with any god in any religion - there’s nothing notably special about Yahwah aside from how popular his worship became.
I asked because it’s especially suspicious if you have been raised from birth to believe in a god, even if it wasn’t a main focus. My intention isn’t to dissuade you from believing - I couldn’t do that even if I wanted to - but just to encourage you to see Christianity objectively, looking at its history and how it compares with other religions. If you choose to have faith regardless, that’s fine, and in fact is stronger than if you never questioned it at all. I just always prefer that people make an informed decision on things.
