2 months agoSame in Gaijins other game Enlisted. You see a lot of Nazi references in peoples nicknames like 88, SS and variations of famous leaders names and it’s not uncommon at all to see n-bombs etc in chat.

I’m usually a SF guy but the most memorable read these past ~2 years was the fantasy books The First Law by Joe Abercrombie. The first book hooked me in and I ended up devouring all 9 books. The audiobook version read by Steven Pacey was superb, that man really breathed life into the characters and I’m glad I listened rather than read them.
I recall wanting to read more dark fantasy after and tried listening to Stormlight Archives on recommendation from a friend but the readers and writing was so bad in comparison I gave up after 2 hours.
Spells, curses and summoning rituals.
What’s scary is that tracking tech is so good they don’t even need to listen to you to know what you’ve been talking/thinking about.

Jackie Chan was in Enter The Dragon.

Another fun fact: through that hole there’s also vasculature and capillaries coming through and you can actually see them by looking at a well lit white surface and creating a tiny pinhole with your hand right in front of your eye and wiggling it. Better explained here at around 5:30

4·4 months agoI’m more of a sci-fi guy but I listened to Joe Abercrombies The First Law trilogy as audio books and holy shit was it great. Ended up devouring the 3 standalone books and the following Age of Madness trilogy that plays out in the same world. Very dark stuff and I believe fits within the requested “soft magic” setting.
I heard the admin is a nazi commie alien on that instance.
Very frustrating for people with fingers.
My mother got me Rogaine for my birthday last year. Pretty rude and uncalled for I felt but now I’ve stopped cutting it and have the longest hair I’ve ever had so I guess she hit a nerve with that one

It’s a buggy pay2win shitshow but I must say the actual gameplay is pretty fun. Although I play it regularly myself I can’t recommend it in good conscience.
