Well I could show you my gun collection but at this point I’m fairly certain that you would just shit yourself in fear.
Anyway, have fun being unarmed with the state of the world today. The far right will continue stockpiling weapons and you’ll be knocking on the doors of guys like me if and when they finally decide to use them.
That’s the thing that you’re not getting bud. The far right isn’t going to be using their guns against the military or the government. They’re going to be using the guns against us.
Ah yes, so the only other option is to roll over, give up your freedom, and trust the government to protect you from everything. Solid logic there.
Yes, proles. Give up your only means of fighting back. We promise your right to vote is strong enough to protect you from anything. The government that can’t keep its own cops under control will save you. Trust big brother.
Fucking delusional.
I do not have enough hit points to be that reckless lol
Thanks to Morrowind and Skyrim i still find myself absent-mindedly noticing “alchemy ingredients” when walking through the woods on hiking/camping trips, despite the fact that I haven’t played either game in a couple years at this point.

Head to Nassau and walk around sometime, let me know if you still think the Bahamas is in good financial shape.
But I agree, rainwater collection is what they’ve been doing for hundreds of years, they just need to find ways to do it more efficiently.
jaspersgroove@lemm.eeto Science@lemmy.ml•Thirsty in paradise: Water crises are a growing problem across the Caribbean islands51·1 year agoProbably has something to do with the fact that desalinization plants are ridiculously expensive when you live on the same land mass as the factories that are building all the parts for them, and the price rises dramatically when it all has to be loaded up onto container ships, transported to you, and then built by a foreign company, and most of those island nations are incredibly broke.
I’m well aware, and stand by my original comment.
Along with basically every Asian and middle eastern country, several European and African countries, and a few South American countries. There are a lot of ethnostates in the world.
In fact, I’d say most countries outside of the EU/the anglosphere are a lot closer to being ethnostates than they are to being any sort of cosmopolitan melting pot.
But most of them have been that way for a long time so people just accept it.
jaspersgroove@lemm.eeto Gaming@lemmy.ml•Kerbal Space Program 2 studio reportedly shut down by Take-Two2·1 year agoSome parts of the interface are actually pretty similar to the old Kings Quest/Quest for Glory games lol. For instance you still cycle through the cursor with a right click to look, talk, walk, and left left click to use the action shown by the cursor etc. The combat is substantially different, and sort of like KoTOR you can pause during combat and plan the next moves for all your party members. It also helps to have at least some understanding of AD&D’s combat system, THAC0 in particular, as that is what the combat is based on.
But yeah if you’ve been gaming long enough that you remember the golden age of Sierra games then you will probably be able to appreciate BG1 and 2
jaspersgroove@lemm.eeto Gaming@lemmy.ml•Kerbal Space Program 2 studio reportedly shut down by Take-Two71·1 year agoThat was the plan from the start.
- Take-Two, apparently
jaspersgroove@lemm.eeto Gaming@lemmy.ml•Kerbal Space Program 2 studio reportedly shut down by Take-Two2·1 year agoIMO the user interface/controls/gameplay of BG1 just feels so dated compared to modern games. If you didn’t play it back in the day and have that extra nostalgia bonus when you go to play it now, you may just find yourself thinking the game is super clunky and wondering what all the hype was about.
That being said, the story is second to none, and the story of BG2 is arguably as good or better. So if you don’t mind the somewhat-dated play style and want a good story, they could be right up your alley.
jaspersgroove@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the most expensive thing you broke as a kid and what's the story behind it?5·1 year agoI was probably 9 or 10 at the time, visiting at a (wealthy) friends house, and my friend was showing me a bunch of his dads cool stuff, among which was a legitimate whip, like straight up indiana jones style. Naturally, I had to try it out…indoors…underneath the crystal chandelier hanging in their entryway…I wasn’t allowed over anymore after that.

Ok, you got me, only 90% of the countries in the region are exponentially worse, two of them are just worse on a strictly linear scale.
Yes I think countries that routinely decapitate gay people, beat women to death with rocks for not wearing the right hat, condone or at the very least ignore the rape of women and children, and cut peoples hands off for shoplifting, whose atrocities only can’t be called genocide because it’s the same ethnic group killing each other, are worse than Israel, didn’t realize that was such a hot take. I’m not saying Israel is good, I’m just saying the US, along with most of Europe, has chosen to back the one country in the region that at least pretends to have western values.
Every president the US has had since 1948 has financed and supported Israel, with the full support of congress, regardless of what rhetoric those congressmen are spewing in the run-up to an election year. Congress sets the budget, and they sign off on giving Israel money every single year so don’t act like this is just Biden throwing money at them.
Every president after Biden will continue to do so as well. Israel is shitty but every other country in the region is exponentially shittier. That being said, I’m not happy with the way this is being handled either, but don’t pretend like Biden is handling things any differently than every president for the last 80 years - with the possible exception of Jimmy Carter - would have done.
Statistically speaking (and assuming you’re an American) you are an overweight 40-something hermaphrodite with some college education, who has 1.8 children and is going to die of congestive heart failure.
There are three kinds of untruth. Lies, damned lies, and statistics.
