Idk if this is a superpower or not but the second my body realises something is off it realises I’m dreaming and just says fuck this, shut down the simulation.

That’s true, never thought about how many times Ive used the registry to do something when the ui doesn’t work, eg forcing games into exclusive fullscreen or getting acces to old features in the Nvidia control panel.
Still my gaming pc “needs” to be windows because of the games i play. Either be it kernel level AC or not getting stretched Res + 280hz gsync to work.
Damn I don’t remember using it personally but i think my dad had an install cd with this logo on it.

About 72h going from a scouts camp into a festival. first 2 days included a lot of coffee, last day might have had a little coke sprinkled in.
Audio crackling is also an intermittent thing on windows for me since the latest season. Not sure if it’s the same of course but maybe it’s not solely on proton.

TwanHE@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.ml•US Gov to explore requiring 3d printer manufacturers and software developers to contain controls to prevent users from manufacturing firearms components10·9 months agoSince the best available firmware is open source I don’t see any way of imposing limits on it.
The printer itself doesn’t even know what it’s making since it’s reading directions one by one, so any limits would need to be implemented at a slicer level, which are also basically all open source (at least any worth using).
The only way I could see it working would be mandating that all printers sold in the US come with software checks against it and be non reflashable, but considering a new driver board that would be able to drive 95% of printers is about $25 it is nothing more than screaming into the void.

Started by printed some upgrades for my printer, now i suddenly have 3 that can waste plastic at significantly higher speeds.
TwanHE@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Are there any modern wifi cards that work with Linux and have 100% FOSS drivers (no proprietary binary blobs)?3·11 months agoWe are already having wifi 6 routers being replaced with 6e capable ones.
Just don’t ask about how few of the devices used actually support 6ghz.
Sponsor block gives me a nice list of options to do in that case: skip automatically, show a skip button or ignore. All based on what type of interruption there is.

Using a gpu that still has vga will be a problem as well.

Robbie should definitely take the top spot here.
