Gaming@lemmy.ml•When will they learn? When will they learn, that their actions have consequences?English862·8 months agoFor those out the loop (probably everyone since no one plays this game it seems) this is Concord by Sony, which after years of dev hell launched two days ago as an online game, but has yet to break 700 players online at a time SteamDB Source. In contrast the four year old, often called abandoned, Red Dead Online has more players during off-peak SteamDB Source

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Suggesting for label blacking?English91·8 months agoMost high volume printing (like shipping labels) is done with thermal printers where the heat turns chemicals on the paper black. These chemicals usually can withstand water but not alcohol so spraying with pure alcohol and wiping off usually will blank the paper entirely.

Linux@lemmy.ml•How was your experience using Linux in college?English1·9 months agoDocx is the literal default format for Microsoft Word for almost 20 years now. PDF can be whatever, but if it is not what you were instructed to turn in, thats a failure no matter how close to your original intent it renders.

Linux@lemmy.ml•How was your experience using Linux in college?English2·9 months agoMany of the online dropboxes for assignments render docx (and pdf files) and many instructors will want the docx for the metadata display (ie author, time taken to complete assignment, etc).

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Remove text on TPE phone case?English11·11 months agoIt the old days when providers still branded the actual phone, we would use sugar cubes to take logos off without scratching underneath. Depending on the paint tho it may be a piece of pie or a mission from hell, but usually worked amazingly (in terms of leaving base unharmed).

These people are mad that it takes a whole day to visit someone in the middle of nowhere. These are clearly children that can’t afford anything or agitators, #DontFeedBears

Linux@lemmy.ml•You think Linux is living a Renaissance with Gaming and New Non-Technical Users?English3·1 year agoEvery one of the last 25 years has been the year of Linux, the Steam Deck is definitely moving the needle but not enough to actually overtake anything, at least at the moment.

Videos@lemmy.ml•Walmart delivery & theft by Walmart delivery personEnglish1·1 year agoThe most asinine part to this for me is that he brought three bags from the car, only photographed two, and didn’t even deliver one. Like why not just bring one bag, maybe the wrong one so you have a good reason to go back to the car after the picture, just why take all the bags out to not even photograph them and then steal them anyway?
No worries, I felt same, this is maybe Highlights for Kids (the comics at the doctor lol) tier hard, but especially with the song age (~25 years), I had trouble, I can only imagine after a whole shift.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Sweden joined NATO, what does this mean for MullvadVPN?English10·1 year agoThere has been numerous attempts over the years by unknown actors to essentially crack TOR by controlling nodes. There have been a few theories about who, but it has been a sustained effort over a period of years that has at times controlled up to an entire quarter of the Tor network, leading many to believe state actors and/or law enforcement are behind these man-in-the-middle attacks.

Memes@lemmy.ml•So far left you get your guns back.English25·1 year agoWhats funny is I keep hearing about bots and operatives on Lemmy that go around promoting things that arent the status quo like we are the next social media. And the kind of people saying it thinks everyone needs to stick to a party line or else! Like or else what? If I do not love every thing Big Dem is pushing, I am a Russian shill bot trying to destroy America. The downvotes you have are from people barely able to form thoughts past doing what they are told.
Wait what? You watched 60 Minutes everyday? It was always Sunday evenings from my memories, during winter usually right after a Football game, don’t remember the exact timing tho.
