was? so it’s not anymore?
I really hope matrix gets native VoIP. I saw like 2 years ago it was in beta, haven’t kept up with it though. I’d also really like voice channels like discord so my friends and I can replace discord but it seems like matrix isn’t interested in being a discord replacement
Hopefully in a year years Linux gets more support and becomes a viable alternative
Edit: for me it is and I’ve been using Linux for years, but some people need certain software
Yup, that’s why I’m very excited about it
Never heard of it and it seems shady
Very much
I’m addicted to Minecraft and OSU. Every once in a while I’ll play some risk of rain 2
Anything decentralized and open source.
I’m really excited at the improvements made to gnome-mobile.
Need to get some OT soon haha
I constantly use it for running Linux commands that have complicated options and arguments or that I just don’t remember.
I’ve been looking for a Linux tablet for a while and I think I finally found it. Well written review and I hope it gets better support once released globally.
True, I honestly don’t get it. In everything in life if I don’t like something I find something better or try to fix it. I hate relying on some entity blindly putting my trust into them. I will genuinely never understand the blind trust people put into anything and everything. I can’t tell if it’s ignorace or apathy
Well yeah, I get the backlog of post. Reddit threads from 4+ years ago still come up when I Google something. I mean actively using reddit. The obscure communities can be made and will be once more people use lemmy. Reddit didn’t have them at the start either
It’s literally the same format as reddit. Just make those communities
Do people not know about lemmy or are just unwilling to switch? I genuinely don’t understand people’s loyalty to tech companies
Haha felt that. I jumped from distro to distro constantly then finally settled in fedora after trying it a 2nd time
Personally I don’t use it because I just never liked the Twitter style and always liked forums and image boards more. But it seems like it comes down to lack of awareness and willingness to switch. Their other points don’t really hold up
Oh damn, I didn’t even know lemmy didn’t have federation at first
