Countries that do authitarianism become bad, yes. That’s exactly how it works, glad you’re getting it.
Tankie always meant a fan of authoritarianism but not of the nazi variety. And hand to hand with that goes hate for America, but hate for America isn’t enough on it’s own, it should be paired with love of Strong Hand Of The East.
Tankie thinks China, Russia, North Korea are just swell, and not because of some underlying ideology, but because they have an authoritarian model of governance and generally in opposition to the west to some degree.
And that’s the reason why it’s so hard to define for some people, boiled down to it’s definition, it’s very hard to spin into something universally good, so talking to a general public they have to do what authoritarian lovers from the other side of the spectrum call “hiding the power lever”, which muddies the water.
Nvidia is working on opensousing and openlicensing their drivers, it’s going to be good, but nobody knows when
And with every step it’s getting better. 10 years ago almost no games were natively supported and you needed to fuck around a lot to start anything with wine and most didn’t work anyway. Nowadays everything just works, and the only category of games that doesn’t is that slop with kernel level anticheat.
The improvement was monumental.
It’s the only category of games that doesn’t work, they use kernel windows modules for anti-cheat and they don’t have any plans to support
Maybe it’s iPhone thing? Usually when I see the news like “this amazing innovative feature will be finally available and will change the world”, and it’s something mundane that I was able to use for years, it means that iPhone is getting this feature finally.
I didn‘t kill „everybody“. I killed the king, his family and his guards and maybe his ministers or generals
Not how civil wars work unfortunately
No, I am a member of one of many militias
Which makes you a part of the military power of the new rule. So yeah.
Yes. Thats how war works.
Yes. That’s my point actually.
Exactly
Ok, but that’s worse. You do get how that’s worse, right?
When you killed everyone in a coup, you are by definition a new military. You might prefer less authoritarian system now, but all your friends who are running around with rifles trying to do a coup are in it for power, it’s just how the selection process goes, for everyone bright eyed idealist who will immediately relinquish his absolute authority that he just won by fighting a civil war, there will be 10 people who fought in civil war to get this absolute authority.
We know that, because actually I deceived you earlier, it’s not 19th century now, and we already saw how that happened. And also, both technologies and situations are different now
Then you get your single shot rifle and storm the the king’s palace with it, against a bunch of people with single shot rifles, kill them all, kill a king, all his family, and thus establish a military goverment. Because it’s apparently it’s 19th century now.
That’s, just, like, you know, your opinion, man

Cyberpunk launch was a disaster and the game was a mess, but I think it wasn’t strictly greed based disaster like many others, but more of a fuckup caused in big part by covid. They didn’t have enough time to adapt to the lockdowns and didn’t have either the budget or the will to postpone the launch once again. I’d argue it’s different from just blatant usual shit that other mentioned companies do
There is a lot of behaviours and quirks that we’re evolved with and which we unequivocally consider being immoral. Like, racism for example.
If your morality includes promoting well-being of others, killing and eating said others, while having perfectly good alternative, goes kinda against it. If you for some reason only include humans (and probably dogs and cats I suppose) in a list of others that you care about, animal farms still contribute so much to our downfall, advocating for not doing it is the only consistent position.
Obviously, it’s not illegal to admit that your morality doesn’t goes beyond the boundaries of your body (or your family, whatever), but I would argue that we kind of need different word for it at this point.
But you see, this time it’s inconvenient to me personally, so I will defend my habits and fight for them to never change even if it means suffering to others, even if the evidence that is harmful are obvious and out there. What do you mean “definition of conservatism”?
I don’t like people who impose vegetarianism and veganism
You should though

Nah, maybe 10 years ago or so. Now you install it with a script and it just works.
Installing packages on Arch is way, way easier than doing it on Ubuntu, the OS that for some reason people keep recommending for newcommers.
And since installing packages is about the only thing that you do with your OS as a beginner, that’s a big deal
