Lol there are useful products on those ads sometimes, but they choose the most bullshit product to show in that example, and, oh god, the timing, fucking scoundrels!
icy@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some of the "small things" you appreciate about Lemmy over Reddit?72·2 years agoNo offense, and I’ve seen several people requesting porn, but to me that kind of lowers the level or seriousness of a community. I’m OK if a platforms allows NSFW content, but there’s a difference between actively browsing for porn and getting spam to your account. Porn is a very distracting stuff with addiction potential.
To me the best thing about forums, reddit, lemmy, etc. is the aggregation of general human knowledge, and it’s better if you don’t have to swim over a load of attention-grabbing content for it.

icy@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•For everyone new to Lemmy, how are you finding the experience?English2·2 years agoIt doesn’t even shows everything. In my experience the integrated Lemmy search engine was better for subscribing to an specific online community that I already knew the name for, but feddit.de wasn’t showing anything at all.
Your case almost reads like satire. So extreme. Another reason to not miss reddit and its excessive gamification among with other terrible features. You make redditors look like zombies. No offense.
