It’s definitely not exactly DDLC, but it’s so good and unique I put it in the same ‘greatest VNs of all time’ category. Slay the Princess is a masterpiece, and I’d urge you to bump it up on your backlog!
Pyre was the game that made me get into visual novels. Took me about 10 minutes to go from ‘When do I get to the game part’ to ‘Idgaf about soccer please just keep talking to me’ and I think it’s because it wasn’t marketed as a VN. All in all, everything supergiant touches is gold.
IGuessThisIsForNSFW@yiffit.netto Gaming@beehaw.org•What are your favourite controllers?8·11 months agoI hugely regret not buying 10 of them when they were liquidating their stock and selling them for $5. I love mine and am really worried about what I’ll do when it inevitably breaks.
This was always my issue with Dota. It just feels so sluggish to have to turn around to run away instead of instantly changing direction like in LoL. That being said I love Dota! Now whenever my friends drag me into League I constantly find myself wishing I had a courier.
If you haven’t already watched a ton of gameplay, be warned it is VERY different from DD1. Both good games, but I was going expecting a hamlet and that is not what they were going for in the sequel.
IGuessThisIsForNSFW@yiffit.netto Gaming@beehaw.org•World Of Horror review: a weird and wonderful horror adventure in time for Halloween1·2 years agoI absolutely love World of Horror! It just hit 1.0, so if you were looking to try it out nows a great time! Also worth mentioning that it has modding support, so you can go on the discord and extend the games content a ton (not that it’s really short on content to begin with)
A lot of people are only passingly interested in video games. For people that just want to sit down and play something having to learn about the game and how it’s played is work, not entertainment. I can see how someone who only games maybe once a week could have some real fun playing a sports game. It’s very easy to pick up because they already know the rules. I don’t agree personally, for me games are the most fun when I’m interacting with a new mechanic, but I am also willing to grind for hours optimizing and learning to push the game to its limits. If you don’t have the time for all that, but you still want to game, sports games are a perfect entry point. Not even I can come up with a justification for the pricing though.
Bro I got you. Had to add some more to get it to 5x5. Obviously I made Linux the free space.
My daily drivers have been manual for years. Had to drive a uhaul recently and instinctively reached for the shifter everytime it hit 3k.
IGuessThisIsForNSFW@yiffit.netto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's some really unpopular opinion you have?11·2 years agoOrdinary well-adjusted people with wealth and belief that the world that you bring your children into isn’t a doomed from the start. A lot of ‘well-adjusted’ people can’t afford to have kids, or they don’t believe that their kids will have anything to aspire to. I don’t want to be rude, and correct me if I’m wrong, but this comes of as any old Dick or Harry should have kids. For a lot of people in the west kids are simply out of the question if you plan to keep your current quality of life. Which is to say nice job! An actually unpopular opinion!

Honestly, it’s just the 14s that have the battery accessible through the back, and the back glass is still glued on, so it’s not even easier than previous generations. But removing the screen/back glass isn’t even the annoying part, it’s the awful adhesive strips that Apple uses that tear the instant you try to remove them. Always ends up with a bit of heat, alcohol and prying. Not really difficult to do if you have the tools on hand, but not even close to the ease of yesteryear when you could just pop the battery out.

Then they eat a bunch of food and meet/become god. Also maybe they become better people or something? IDK, I’m still trying to influence fashion to min/max my stats.
Playing in a team is definitely the best. Flying through modules once everyone is coordinated is super fun.
Man once you get into complex wires I don’t care who you are, that diagram is confusing as hell. Memorizing morse code a long time ago was a great bonus to the later levels though.
They’ve all been mentioned, but I want to second my favorites of all time
My roommate just finished ‘Until Then’ last night and she was crying her eyes out, so I know it’s gonna be good, I just haven’t played it yet.
Edit: I almost forgot Tsukihime! It’s great with a few different routes that wildly change what the story is about, so highly recommended!
