I’m out of the loop on this one? A Swedish using a Polish WM, and you call them Nazis?

I know that the hyprland dev has strong political opinions, but I genuinely dont know what they are because I don’t care, and I use another WM. Are they really both Nazis? I dont know because I dont follow these guys. I dont want this word to be misused when actual Nazis are trying to take over the free world again

  • Mandrake was my second distro, I think, I think I had knoppix before that. Used neither for long, switched to Ubuntu in the first or second major release. I was on Ubuntu until gnome 3 was released, then I threw up a little in my mouth and dustro hopped s bit until I landed on arch, which I also had for almost 10 years,

    Now I am on NixOS,

No I am not sadomasochistic for using arch or nixos. There are benefits and trade offs, and I would not have used them for so long if it didn’t make sense for me.

I’m against distro shaming, and DE shaming. Everyone can like what they like for different reasons. That makes Linux better!

BTW, fun fact, both Arch and NixOS is older than Ubuntu, just fun to think about

Interesting. What does the ^ do in this situation?

And I just want to not respect an alias, so falls back to either builtin or path.

In zsh or bash I can prefix the command with the word command, or a backslash (directly before the command)

I’m a serious bash scripter, I mean I do it both at work and as a hobby. And zsh arrays are better. Like you can use negative indecees and stuff. I have only written shell functions in zsh (my primary shell), and not thousands of lines of scripts like I have for bash. But if zsh had as good documentation and language servers I’d probably do many scripts in zsh instead. But I can’t say for certain, as I am not as sure about performance in some situations and stuff.

Why don’t I use posix shell if I care about performance? Because they are only faster in very simple scripts,

Jokes on you, because just that you learned to read analogue clocks, makes your brain more plastic. I am sure you know what that word means, but for anyone else, plastic means adaptable. The more things you learn the easier it is to learn more things.

  • So does glass almost, glass is not a liquid, there are more than 5 stated of matter, a lot more, but glass is still a type of solid. It has some characteristics that recemble the characteristics of a really slow moving liquid.

Well glaciers contain both solid and liquid parts. When you compress ice it turns to liquid. Water isn’t really easy to compress, liquid water can be lower than 0c (freezing), which is called super cooled, and it turns to ice when it’d not compressed anymore. You can make super cooled water or even soda at home, and if you give the bottle a shake it will turn to ice in a couple of seconds. Also the ground under the glacier will be moved together with the ice and water, there is do much force there. When a part of a glacier breaks off it’s called calving, like when a cow gives birth to a calf

  • This actor is not Pedro Pascal, he played a police officer in that show, I just checked IMDB, Pablo Escobar is portrayed by Wagner Moura in OP’s pictures

    up the ziggurat lickedy-split

No sorry, not a Red Dwarf reference, my given name sounds phonetically very similar without the -at at the end of Ziggurat, well at least as phonetically as i’ve herd an english speaker say my name. Americans always argue if my name is a girls name or not, which is weird because its a viking name used by Viking kings, viking warlords, Crusaders, and dragonslayers (in legend at least)

Anyway, I got the word from playing Warcraft 2 and 3 as a kid, oh, I miss WC3, I loved some TowerDefence mods and a mod called DOTA (I think thats its own game now?) In WC3 when you don’t have enough housing as the Undead faction, they say “Build more Ziggurats”
