So few people care about this that it’s never going to stop. There are far more negatives to be solved by reducing anonymity than the positives of keeping a semblance of privacy.

Us Brits offten call the toilet ‘the bog’
Doing a poo is the most frequent in my house.
snota@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which phone design do you prefer, Squared Edge or Rounded Edge or Curved Edge (as in the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge)?English4·2 years agoThe curved edge is a gimmick and a route to breaking your screen easier.
I always use a case so it doesn’t bother me much.
I just waft them away. I find you have to be pretty aggressive with a wasp in order for them to sting you.
I’ve heard (so take it with a pinch of salt) that in autumn they all get kicked out of their hive and their lives are a big food orgy and they are more likely to be aggressive.
If anyone thinks their asshole is clean from just a jet of water, they are either eating plenty of fiber or are going around with a dirty asshole. I also have not got the time to blow dry my ass e be every time I poop.
snota@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What if: The Lemmy code was never developed? What would you be doing right now?English8·2 years agoIf the thought of a social media platform not existing gives you anxiety then I think you need to take a break from it. I don’t know you or your life but I don’t think spending a lot of time on these platforms is mentally healthy regardless.
snota@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How do you feel about men wearing kilts? any brand recommendations?4·2 years agoI think it’s a bit weird but it wouldn’t bother me and would probably make me smile.
I think it depends on the retail environment, and how cosmopolitan the city is. If your customers are regularly conservative and up tight then I’d think twice.
Probably worth getting one and wearing it socially first. It will take time getting used to it, you don’t want to go around flashing people, after all.

snota@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How are the mobile apps for kbin/lemmy coming?2·2 years agoJerboa works pretty well. Still bugs here and there but it seems the Devs are making lots of progress
I think you need to be in the right space before you can be comfortable. It takes a loooong time to get over burnout and you have to be doing to right things consistently. Burnout is a form of trauma and your best bet is to get help. You said you had problems with a state psychologist but you should try again, therapists aren’t one size fits all, it’s like any medication; what works for one person might not for another, usually there is something that works for you. Therapy also isn’t a magic pill, it something you need to be willing to work on and know that it takes time.
I would go as far to say don’t use on screen keyboards at all. Use an app. I know they have to have something for those who don’t have smart phones but Chromecast is a breeze to use compared to every other smart TV I’ve had to deal with.
snota@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@beehaw.org•ELI5: What's the differences between Lemmy and kbin?English10·2 years agoThanks, your post makes sense. Will Lemmy have the opportunity to adapt to do what kbin does that it can’t, or is that a ground up change?
She’s an odd one, doesn’t bite but gets defensive with people she doesn’t know. A few treats and she’s a complete pushover though.
snota@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@beehaw.org•a megathread for developments on Reddit and with third-party Reddit appsEnglish4·2 years agoI’m going to hold off on deleting mine so I can repost stuff to quieter leemy communities to keep them going until it happens more organically.
I’ve not used a 3D printer for years because I don’t have room for one. If I had one I’d probably be printing vases for my plants. I’m new here from Reddit and I browsed regularly to keep me inspired for when I finally get a printer.
For every self help group there are hundreds of forums for hate speech. For every open, sane discussion there are hundreds of discussions that are railroaded by trolls. I agree that a transparent state is brilliant, but the reason for transparency is accountability and the individual needs to have that accountability also.
