Old habits die hard? I used to administer old SunOS machines that didn’t have less (and would take considerable effort to install on all of the machines) so these days I just alias more to less

Beautiful. My favourite way to describe computers is “we convinced sand to think”
It really was. I forgot to mention in my comment that the sun machines were also really cheap so, you know, capitalism.
Unfortunately, the lisp machine didn’t gain traction because the start-up times were so long and I believe this is due to it doing lots of internal checks which was awesome but unfortunately things like the Sun SPARCstation won because it was crazy fast although buggy

D) spend millions developing an AI to generate the boilerplate generator badly

petey@aussie.zoneto Linux@lemmy.ml•AMD Linux Graphics Driver To Switch To More Aggressive Power Heuristics By Default7·7 months agoI wonder how much this will affect the power usage during boot on my laptop with its integrated AMDGPU. Granted, boot time is fairly short so hopefully this won’t really matter.

Annoyingly this feature isn’t available in Edge on Linux

Unfortunately the choice of desktop environment matters a lot when talking about features like this
I suggest trying KDE instead, as XFCE is far from the user friendly interface your used to with Windows. Some DEs are good for new users, XFCE isn’t one of them
Whoever suggested Xubuntu for a Windows user is a bit optimistic
Seppoland has become a more and more appropriate term
