mypasswordistaco@iusearchlinux.fyito Firefox@lemmy.ml•Mozilla names new CEO as it pivots to data privacy151·1 year agoSometimes I’m astonished by people’s inability to put together coherent thoughts. I think it it comes from a complete lack of self awareness, but I’m unsure. Working theory.
Not using Debian because gnome seems silly to me. Why not just install plasma if that’s what you want?
What do you imagine these “strict regulations” would be? I live in public housing right now and it’s fantastic. It’s also significantly more democratically run than private housing because it’s mandated to be that way. I also like knowing that nobody is profiting off of my need to live somewhere.
My point is that you’re being dismissive of very reasonable concerns that are supported by published scientific literature. Further, rather than address those concerns directly, you chose to deflect with condescension and belittlement.
So no, I’m not going to trust you, because the only thing that you’ve done to prove your point is be an ass.
It’s funny, because your own ignorance is showing. There’s plenty of research to suggest that iron fertilization is controversial, which directly contradicts your (very condescending) assertion.
You are being very pretentious.
I don’t see the problem
I remember looking this up some time ago, and I read that doing so may violate the terms you agreed to when purchasing the ticket. They will probably fine you, or at least attempt to, if you don’t pull it off.
mypasswordistaco@iusearchlinux.fyito Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's your houses equivalent of a poop knife.11·2 years agoWell you did write tong before and not tongs which is what was being asked. It should still be plural, even without the “pair of” bit.

mypasswordistaco@iusearchlinux.fyito Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How would you compensate employees for commuting to work?2·2 years agoIn my country the cap is at 12 km I think. So within that distance from work no one gets compensation. Beyond that distance, everyone can get compensation. Motorcycle, car, and train get the same per km compensation, and bike/moped/scooter get a slightly lower ammount. If you have to travel over 60 km (one way) the per km ammount goes up.
Compensation is normally in the form of a tax deduction, but some companies have their own compensation schemes where they pay you for travel. If you get paid this way there’s no tax.
mypasswordistaco@iusearchlinux.fyito Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How would you compensate employees for commuting to work?22·2 years agoWhy? It’s no skin off anyone’s back.
Mental health issues are treated medically all the time. Drugs + therapy are common treatments for nearly all mental health issues. Who’s to say that gender dysphoria (not dysmorphia) isn’t treated the same?
And if someone wants to physically alter their body to match their preferred gender, what’s it to you? Honestly why do you care so much? I can’t help but imagine those like you as those codgy people with antiquated ideals, spewing hate and judgement because someone has tattoos or body piercings.

Edit: replied to the wrong comment, but my point still stands haha
mypasswordistaco@iusearchlinux.fyitoReddit@lemmy.ml•"Teddit is Shutting Down. Lemmy is the New Reddit"2·2 years agoI get my news from the AP and I’m very happy with it. It’s one of the few apps that I allow push notifications for so I don’t even need to check the app to get the top headlines, I just tap on the ones that look interesting and clear the rest.
What if I want to use my absolute freedom to oppress someone else? What if I use my absolute freedom to build a structure that blocks the view of the mountains from my neighbors, who love the view? Whose freedom should get oppressed to solve that?
Honest question, not trying to be a contrarian.
