They can be. Because of course there are poorly made commercial units that are only quiet because they have low CADR. But you’ll never be able to get a DIY box as quiet as a well made unit, unless you basically engineer your own air purifier device, use blower motors, etc., but that’s not a Corsi-Rosenthal Box.

It’s not just about aesthetics. That DIY box will be loud as hell.

But this is exactly what we like to avoid from Google and Apple. Perhaps, it can work in China because of strong Govt oversight (read: control), but not in U.S…

lemmeout@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.ml•Puget Systems Reveals Intel Core & AMD Ryzen CPU Failure Rates In Report: Claims Higher Failures on Ryzen 7000 Than 14th Gen18·10 months agoTL;DR over from Puget reddit accounts is that their overall failure rates for all chips is very low because they run it at tightly controlled base specs.
So any automatic boosting/OC doesn’t come in play here, which might be why Intel chips are failing more in the broader user space.

Over time I realized his content is mostly about flashy half baked “sciencey” content like Discovery Channel. It’s meant to get an audience and nothing more. It lacks quality control, and fact checking. I only realized how many errors his videos have when he covered a topic I know more about. Also, the whole electricity thing and self driving car debacle only reinforced my views on his content.
I like it inside, where you loop it through the tube.

No, this is essentially about networked radars. Which would be interesting if they bothered to discuss the tech. I suppose I’ll wait for Sandboxx News to cover it.

As you go up in complexity like 4k and 4:4:4 HDR, you will have to pay more attention to HDMI bandwidth and cable length limits.
Look for “certified” premium or high speed cables.

Can’t say I dislike it
In the spirit of dumbing down the plot to make sure viewers don’t turn away, they end up making totally nonsensical (if not misleading) content.
