This is not a “how do I be polite” situation. This is a “how do I cover my ass legally” situation. Mistake it for the former at your peril.

It isn’t hard at all to say whether Bill Gates is an “overall net ‘good’ person” or not. He became a billionaire (which is an inherently exploitative act), and no amount of trying to whitewash his legacy with philanthropy after the fact can change that.
They’re both forms of autocracy, but their ideological justification and means of maintaining control are at least somewhat different. I don’t see any particular reason why said justifications would shift from monarchical →fascist ones; if anything, I’d expect it to go in the other direction as a fascist dictator seeks to “legitimize” his rule by claiming “divine right” or naming a hereditary successor. I would be more inclined to agree with the statement “fascism is proto-monarchism.”

I’d still be an “Engineer,” LOL. (I do civil engineering as well as CS, and try to work at the intersection of the two fields.)

One day I’m going to get around to hooking a local smart speaker to Home Assistant with ollama running locally on my server. Ideally, I’ll train the speech to text on Majel Barrett’s voice and be able to talk to my house like the computer in Star Trek.
I have absolutely no idea what difference bay leaves make. I keep putting them in things, mainly due to blind allegiance to the recipe, but if you put a gun to my head and demanded that I describe the taste you’d just have to shoot me 'cause I wouldn’t be able to it.
(The fact that the leaves are too tough to eat by themselves to understand their flavor doesn’t help either. Maybe I should try grinding one into a fine powder or something.)

I haven’t tried tofu many different ways, but I worked at a tex-mex restaurant in high school and I’ve enjoyed it the way they made it ever since. Squeeze the excess water out, dice it, marinate it in the same marinade you would use for tex-mex steak, saute it, and serve it in tacos or burritos or whatever.

That said, the official instructions for upgrading to a new major version say to re-image your microSD anyway. So never mind; carry on!

LOL, Linux vs. Windows flame wars are literally as old as the World Wide Web, and UNIX vs. DOS flame wars are even older than that. Welcome to traditional Internet culture, undiluted by normies.
(Also, I would argue that copyleft Free Software vs. proprietary software riddled with spying, ads, and other user-hostile dark patterns is a way bigger deal than you’re giving it credit for, but that’s a topic for a different thread.)
