Launching without hashtags was pretty weird, 0 discoverability. I didn’t want to use my instagram account for threads so i made a new one and it was pretty much impossible to discover people to follow. Also the content was not great, I wouldn’t really count on the instagram community to deliver good content especially in text form

If Lemmy continues to grow I’ll continue to spend most of my time here, but that seems like it’s no guarantee

Imo there’s enough people on here already. It would be nice if it could grow to enable more niche communities, but for my current usage there’s more than enough people

The main thing for me is that i dislike the federation. Also the UI is a bit ugly but that’s easily fixable

I got a warning for saying the words “kill yourself” in the context of a video game discussion where someone killed their own character to kill a streamer’s character in the perma death mode. The method used was an ability that links 2 characters together and if one of them dies, they both die. There was some change made to prevent this in the future so i said something along the lines of “you could still kill yourself trough other means, i don’t see how this solves the issue” and got a site wide warning with no way to appeal

First episode was amazing, then it slowed down a bit but still wasn’t bad by any means. Now it picked up again in the last few episodes and it’s great. Also the animation is way better than it realistically needs to be for a show like this

So what happens if your instance blocks my instance and we both participate in a thread in a third instance? Are we invisible to each other? Can you reply to me? Can i reply to you? Will we see each other’s comments?

I don’t really like how the front page looks, it reminds me of new reddit and the official reddit app a bit too much. Other than that, I’m still just looking around and haven’t done much. I downloaded an app but it’s kinda bad and I’d rather just use a browser for now
