Houses are pretty great for a few factors
- Not sharing a wall with a neighbor
- being able to be louder in general
- Not being woken up by neighbors
- Not getting your home infested with bugs because of having a nasty neighbor
- No loud honking at night
- Not having your door accidentally knocked on to ask if your apartment neighbor is home when they’re not answering their door
- Parking in your own garage
- Having a yard for your dog/kids to play in
Apartments fucking suck in so many ways. I get that they’re pretty handy in City Skylines where everyone bases their urban planning experience from but there is a reason people prefer to live in house and it’s because it gives you separation from other people in a way apartments cannot.
I enjoy Lex’s longform style but man he does nothing journalistic, which drives me crazy. He’ll ask a hard question but never pushes back on answer cause he’s concerned about being friends with everyone moreso than actually challenging someone’s PR answer that never exists in reality.
When your topic is AI, and it’s at the forefront of national attention you’re pretty useless if you don’t have the stones to actually challenge these pie in the sky type answers the regulars give on his show.
Altman “It’s going to make money useless and probably result in massive unemployment. But I think everyone should have some say in the development in AGI and how we handle it.”
Lex “Wow that’s so noble. Anyways, do you think we can have AI friends someday.”
Like you don’t have to be mean or rude but you gotta have the courage to press some of these guests on their bullshit.
Should be the default option
Are, are you telling me that I can block Fandom’s wiki results? Because I dream of such a future!
Idk how we can spend billions on surveillance but can’t catch a few morons spoofing telephone numbers.
Corporate America can move mountains when fines cut into profit margins. I am not kidding when I say this would be fixed immediately.
Punish them for their complete inability to block spam calls. Million bucks per successfully connected call would fix it overnight and then our phone would be worthwhile as phones once again.

He’s defeated Darkseid even (I mean technically it was a team effort but Batman executes the Coup De Grace).
Idk if Batman could deal with a real world Superman in our plausible semi-future scenario, but some aspects pf the character could for sure be emulated I think at a certain technological point of time :-)

TheDarkKnight@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Can an average person who works a full time job become capable enough to rival a secret agent like James Bond or John Wick on their own ?English4·2 years agoBatman seems like a potentially plausible reality in the future, factoring in a fuck ton of money AND the Batcomputer, one of the most underrated aspects pf the character. Assuming he’s working with next gen tech on the computer you could plausibly consider that the Batcomputer has some incredible AI capabilities that could give his normal power set to a real world person (to a degree). It could make plans, develop new bat gadgets, research, create work out and training regiments, etc etc. Wouldn’t fit for OP’s question but someone could eventually become somewhat of a Batman in the future with enough drive and money.

As is typical with Apple, they focus on quality over quantity. Haters hate, and there is plenty to be critical of, but Apple gives a fuck about quality much more than a lot of their competition.

Finish them before releasing them.

You choose the loadout that makes sense for what you’re doing not bringing everything everywhere every time.
Flashlight for me comes with me when it’s evening/night or there is work where it might be handy (car repair for example). But it’s not in the starting line-up just a 6th man coming off the bench frequently.
TBH your best bet to check out what is trending on Github everyday for a little bit, it’s roughly 90% OS AI projects of varying states of maturity. One of the more refined ones is taking the form in phind.com, which is a pretty great programming site, supposedly beating GPT-4’s capabilities!
