I’ve been playing a little with pipewire, this is another cool tip!
I’ve been impressed with the snapcast discover module! but the latest time i added it to a machine (bazzite desktop) it also sees every device on my network that can take an audio stream? and interrupts each of them any time i pull up the volume menu from the panel tray.
i tried specifying the snapcast sever instead of zeroconf but no luck yet
masamune!
pielauncher.
quickdraw on my most used apps
i deal with it by just trying my goddamned hardest never to have to see them.
bury myself in setting up self hosted shit so maybe i barter a season of bobs burgers for an ounce of pepper once all the shareholders have extracted all value and moved on to the next planet.
i absolutely can’t stand it.
deal with them because i want to use the pontoon boat? its just not worth it anymore
edit. did not realize it would format like that
i just wish there was a prosody docker that allows for all the tweaks and addons. snikket was relatively simple to get going, but they don’t provide a lot of info for adjustments
as long as it doesn’t have a bucket seat
i have some form of audio device playing a white (brown) noise file that fades in and out over 15 minutes. cam be found on the internet!
sometimes i also have music playing.
ideally it is a regular passive speaker, hooked up to all the good shit. at one time those speakers were installed in the ceiling, but those days are gone.
right now it’s a W king Bluetooth speaker that i normally use while traveling.
not the greatest but gets the job done.
in a pinch, even the phone speaker will do.
sorry for rambling and not really answering the question!
any recommendations? what runs LineageOS the best these days?
i remember the cyanogenmod days… good times
pixel is meh
GrapheneOS is fucking amazing
Ohhhhhh YES AWESOME!
you got that hooked up to a PBX?
that is nice! its… sexy?
hello fellow “never EVER let a console go” gang
Over the years i had friends come over for retro video game / lan parties and they sometimes left their consoles. Picked up an extra dreamcast and an original playstation that way.
I want to get my grandmas old china cabinet and put some LEDs in it and have the consoles on display!
heck i bet that is awesome looking. Does it still work?
i keep wanting to rip the guts out and install a 40 inch tv with some self hosted stuff in the cabinet, amplifier etc.
it would be cool! but also that thing is cool as it is
i have an old magnavox TV from the early 70s, with the wooden slat curtain thing you pull in front of it.
Old 8 track players,
my great grandfather was an electrical engineer and made some custom lighting controls in wooden boxes, with dials and meters and switches, he did made it all for his church!
from that same grandfather, he had some portable reel to reel tape recording stuff, an old portable projector that comes in a cast iron cowl.
tons of stuff that everyone makes fun of me for holding on to.
damn. got they ass
yeah i was a little grossed out last night when i saw that. so fuck em. iron fox?
but i do love kodi so so much though. such a great platform with the ability to be controlled from so many avenues.
if the addons had a bit more attention, it really could be great.
the new arctic skin truly make it better than any steaming service, and if one happens to have media locally, it just can’t be beaten (when used with jellyfin/emby/plex)
