As is, its already very easy to make bots for the Fediverse, and there is pretty good support for it. The limit is just a lack of interested users, and a general dislike of bots here - esspecially novelty ones.

My point isn’t that a black hole is unique or anything else of the sort. Heavy objects try to suck in lighter objects around them. The reason I was saying I would only sometimes describe it as being “sucked in” was because that suggests being significantly pulled towards the object, whereas if it is a fairly stable orbit or the object’s trajectory being slightly bent, I wouldn’t describe it as such (black hole or otherwise). Even with a gas giant, It wouldn’t feel wrong to say it sucks in nearby debris.
In the case of the earth, no, I would say its an orbit. But if the path wasn’t circular and instead was describing the sun pulling somthing away from its existing trajectory significantly, then yes, I might describe it as the sun sucking it in. Obviously doubly so if it actually is destroyed by the sun.
Would you say a star sucks in stuff around it? Or a planet? Or moon?
For a star, I absolutely would. For a planet or moon, it depends on the context.
AI content is low-quality slop. That said, sometimes low-quality slop is the best option for what you want, and in that case, it can make sense to use. That slop can also make a useful ingredient for other, better works, so long as its just a small peice used appropriately.
I’m not educated enough to have an opinion on this, but is the EU different from other places in terms of requiring a lot of expensive campaigning to have any chance to win?
They provide a bunch of other services tied in, like the reviews, Workshop, and most infamous, guides and forums. While the reviews and Workshop tend to not be too bad (although still often not great) the forums and guides tend to be completely unmoderated and as a result, devolve into spam and extremism.
Unfortunately, that popup only lists third party DRM.
They do not have to. FTL is one example I know of off the top of my head.
By that standard, whats to stop people from just getting more phone numbers? Its just an additional cost.
Well, this takes place in the Half Life/Portal universe where the world basically ended in the early 2000s, so it makes sense.
AI struggles to make a complete, composite product. This is the limit on game creation as it is anyway, not number of assets available to steal/download/buy. There are thousands of options for near-complete games out there that can be easily customized further with the millions of art assets out there as it is.
Even then, Steam isn’t completely without moderation. It’s been possible to automate the creation of asset flips for a while (and we’ve seen it done plenty of mobile), but Steam makes some effort to remove the lowest quality games and make it ineffective to publish low-quality shovelware. AI is still quite a ways off from being even remotely faster or more effective than just buying a template and filling in the resources with cheap or free assets.
The war is largely in a stalemate at the moment. Odds are, if this continues for years longer, Russia will eventually win just by virtue of having more people to send to die for the country, but if it comes to that, Russia will suffer far moreso than they already are, both due to increased strikes within Russia and just loosing the majority of their working population.
Unless I’m misunderstanding something, the one that is now being sold for $400 used to be $550. All the LCD models have dropped in price (with the 64 GB and 512 GB models being discontinued) and the OLED filling in the now open higher price tiers.
Discord for games with friends, and for a couple niche pieces of software too small for forums.
Lemmy for broad-appeal topics like world news and less niche tech.
And Im not sure if it still counts when I just lurk now, but Reddit for everything else, since none of it moved over to lemmy. Gaming subreddits, more niche tech, history and accedemic topics, local and lifestyle stuff, ect.
Old one is still solid (and now discounted) but this offers some nice, mid-generation upgrades. If you already have one, or want one at a discount, stick with the old model, otherwise this is a nice upgrade for basically the same price.
I do, but I keep default settings within Ublock. I figure theres probably enough other Tor users using Ublock that it won’t stand out too much, and frankly, the internet feels unusable without an ad blocker nowdays.

Honestly, I don’t completely get it myself. While yes, a lot of bots are unhelpful clutter like remindme bot, or low quality garbage like most LLM bots, there are many that are genuinely really useful or moderate enough to be funny and unobtrusive. I guess its probably just a mix of annoyance at their frequent overuse, and the pretentious attitude Lemmy often has.
