Same here. We write “verzogen” on the envelope (because the letter has been a bad boy) and either leave it out on top of the letterbox or go throw it into a post collecting box.

Portugal, but they hate expats at this point because they got overrun by them in the last couple of years
Kinda but the overlap between lemmy ml admin/mod team and lemmy developers is not 100%
A monarchy is a government form.
Monarchies can be anything from a parliamentary monarchy to an absolute monarchy, and yes there have been fascist monarchies as well - see WW2 Japan or Romania if I recall that correctly
As far as I understand it, the development team of Lemmy is bigger than that, but nutomic and dessalines as the founders and paid to develop lemmy full-time of course are the most important ones.
@sleeplessone@lemmy.ml is a maintainer of lemmy I think and
@dullbananas@lemmy.ca is a maintainer of lemmy backend?
Not sure about the status of flamingos and phiresky who also contribute to the codebase and were part of the recent AMA
Just donated via ko-fi!
Microw@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Has anyone thought about building a federated/imageboard-style alternative—something like a federated 4chan/8chan?2·19 days agoI wonder how their AP implementation works and if it is compatible with the threadiverse software in theory
Mastodon simply isn’t designed for discussions. It is designed to (micro)blog. People can react to your microblog, but if you’re not a well-known personality or your content isn’t relevant for the people who see your posts, that probably won’t happen.
What helps to build a followership on Mastodon is to regularly interact with people who post about similar things to your interests and who already have a big following. Then they might be inclined to know who you are, follow you and actually interact with your content/rebl9g it for their audiences.
Microw@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Has anyone thought about building a federated/imageboard-style alternative—something like a federated 4chan/8chan?101·19 days agoBro your AI summary is bullshit. You can absolutely take the lemmy software and set up a site that is run in a 4chan way.
Literally every of these Google “add information xy” boxes has been skippable for years now
I don’t want to block lemmy.ml, it’s not like I hate that instance or anything. But I don’t see why I should finance this server - it’s definitely not just a development server. I would like to finance development of lemmy without that money going into that server.
If they do not treat lemmy.ml server donations separately from lemmy development donations, that is a problem.
Microw@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is there a Lemmy community for beginner music producers?211·21 days agoThere are multiple music production communities:
!musicproduction@sh.itjust.works
I will argue against what others have said: don’t create another one specifically for your need. It will either end up being pretty dead or you’ll need to put a lot of energy into building it up.
So… Lemmy itself gives admins the possibility to see votes, but admins using this tool to see votes is a problem? Maybe I am misunderstanding something here?
Microw@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•What's these software to interact with other fediverse softwares?8·1 month agoLemmy is programmed in a way so it actively looks for communities/groups. But not individual posters. which is why lemmy can only display mastodon and pixelfed individual posts if they have been posted into groups.
Microw@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Mastodon cultural question - when should we use Favorite?8·2 months agoPoint number 1 for sure.
Favoriting/liking is especially a good thing to do with photo posts, as pixelfed emphasizes likes over boosts and I think a lot of photographers and artists appreciate likes more than your average poster.
I didn’t know that favourites factor into the trending algorithm. Good to know.
Microw@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Should Lemmy consider implementing a collaborative pixel art feature similar to Reddit's r/place?11·2 months agoWhich is why awesome people like @grant@toast.ooo do it instead
There is the “new comments” sort which makes it sort chronological by the time of the last comment under a post
You mean like a list of all communities named “books” or “books…”? And then you could choose to visit individual communities by clicking on them?
This.
