I would argue that fascism is the capitalism’s second final form.
Final form is feudalism, as always

Final form is feudalism, as always
It’s always darkest before the dawn.
How I interpret it is that when things get bad, and reach a new level of bad, that could be just what is needed for the pendulum to swing the other way, and swing extra hard.
Kind of like a Great Depression giving labour laws kind of a thing.
Gives me hope.
This one’s my favourite
This makes me sad, I thought we mostly agreed that what FDR did is a good way forward.
As the meme implies, stop and think about how to change tactics.
Uhhh no? Especially if your playing a game that your suppose to try multiple times like hades.
I guess it depends on the game but imo the best boss fights are puzzles (god of war style) where you don’t change tactics, you keep playing until you figure out the puzzle.
Idk if I call that changing tactic, I just keep trying until I figure it out.
Wait, how else are you suppose to beat boss fights without just keep trying until you do?
That has its drawbacks too though, federating with many, many instances will eventually cause strain.
I do want more growth via instances, but imo it’s more like a double edge sword than the salvation of a platform.
Don’t expect perpetual growth from the fediverse for one good reason:
It would cost more money.
Lemmy is self hosted and there are people who use their own personal money to host these things and have a certain amount of activity.
Doubling the users would double the cost but it would not double the usefulness for the instance owner.
That’s because via GDP those two are at the same level even though they are different levels in their own country.
So users in instance B would see a post in instance C in which user A and C are discussing something, and user B will see user C talking to hidden
?
Okay but in post A, people from B won’t chime in, and conversely for things posted to B.
I guess instance C can make posts where both people from A and B can chime in. So would people in instance A be able to talk to people in instance B in the instance C’s comment section? Cause A people don’t want to hear from B people.
So we would still see less active posts as interactions would go down.
If instance A and B block each other, can a user on instance C still see all the posts from B and A?
What worries me is the drop in posts if things fracture.
My comment affirms that what you have posted is in fact a meme, so solo is home.
Man, memes have changed recently
So I recently installed Immich and it does it for me using local AI
Somehow I am much less scared of AI being forced into everything compared to VR or crypto.
I guess it’s because I know AI is a nothing burger and will slowly lose hype.
Although this is terrible, once again a headline on lemmy made me paranoid only to find out that my phone probably doesn’t even support this.
Going through the settings and turning things off is second nature to me by now, it’s not unique to Apple (looking at your Microsoft).
What we need is an opt out mode on every device. Similar to the accept necessary cookies only, we need every device to let you fully opt out from everything it can when you boot it up for the first time.
Yep, I don’t see it either but that might be because I’m on an older iOS.
This hurt to read
