(I’m sure that last one will raise some eyebrows, but I’ve already got over 1k hours in it since launch. For all its faults, it scratches some itch of mine just right.)

I am so glad that Irongate is being much smarter with Valheim. You can opt into the beta and also choose older versions of the game to downgrade to, all within Steam. Very helpful for an early-access game with tons of mods and sporadic updates.

Same here. I know we’re pariahs for admitting something so obvious, but sometimes the easiest way to get good service is to actually pay for it. Youtube Music alone is worth the monthly sub, since it is VASTLY superior to Spotify.

Scooping up a lifetime sub to Nexus, back when they were still available, might have been one of my best online moves. If a game can be modded, I will be modding it - I get SO much value from that one-time investment.

True story: I responded (unpleasantly and verbosely) to one of those automated no-reply messages from Reddit, regarding a 3-day suspension for violating some rule (aka, pissing off a mod)… and I did get a reply. Account banned.

These days, I’m a residential carpenter in New England - I’d imagine it would be very easy to talk about my trade to people from the 1700s, and I’m sure the builders of that time would be fascinated by the power tools we have now.
