Slower is not a good thing here. US democrats have been in general more competent managers of the US empire, care more about its image internationally, and think more long term.

The fall of the US empire (especially the closing of its 900+ military bases internationally) would bring the greatest benefit to the world, and help resolve one of the greatest contradictions in the world today: inequality between rich and poor countries.

The blue trolley does not move slower, I’d say it accelerates more slowly than when it’s blue than red. The train never slows down.

As an outsider, I’m curious about this. So, the red train is fast for both the people inside the empire and outside the empire. The blue train is fast only for the people outside the empire, where it’s just as fast as the red train. To me, it sounds like the blue train is still preferable.

While probably true on a technicality (although I’d frame it as accelerating slightly slower for Americans rather than not being fast). You also don’t seem to take into account that it’s the blue train setting the foundation that allows the red train to accelerate as fast as it does, or the fact that through slowing the acceleration for Americans slightly and their general better pr they sustain the system allowing it to continue immiserating hundreds of millions for longer.

Also it’s not 2 trains per say but one train implementing a 2 part strategy. (The ratchet effect as people call it).

I agree that a revolution is probably the solution there. But until then, would you rather vote for blue or red?

I’m not a euroamerikan so whoever Americans vote for has no effect on how America is to me. They can vote Blue Red or Purple for all I care I just wish they’d stop upholding voting for the different colours of the uniparty as something that has any value.

That’s fair, but it goes against the idea of this post, which seems to be against voting at all. Voting against red feels like the bare minimum to do here. Not voting at all seems actively harmful.

I fully agree with this post though? Voting for Americans is meaningless. It holds no value, whether you vote for the blue half or the red half of the uniparty it’s the same interests behind the scenes who own both. Nothing of value has even been won through voting, women’s suffrage, civil rights, the modern 8 hour workday and 5 day week, etc. all won through struggle with actual meaning.

Wow amazing, killing people but slower is better. It’s in fact the best we can have and there’s nothing else to do.

How about fucking dismantling that damn train? Blow it up? Replace it and the entire system instead of insisting on using the “Global South-Mower”?

        Objectively true

It’s in fact the best we can have and there’s nothing else to do.

Not even remotely close to what I said

How about fucking dismantling that damn train?

If you can figure out a way to dismantle the train without opening the door to a train that’s just as bad if not worse, I’m all ears

        Okay, go ahead.

What? You don’t want to do that yourself? You want me to do it and get myself killed?

Every fucking time with Amerikans. You are all so self-absorbed that you end up saying this every time. I am not even telling you to commit to adventurism but to organize for a revolution.

Think you can just guilt-trip while you insist on the election that kills far more people that you don’t consider to be humans just so you can keep having treats from BlueMAGA? Fuck off.

Every time we tell them to organize in their community, they pretend we told them to solo banzai charge a national guard armory with a sharpened toothbrush. Fucking anything but engaging with what’s actually being said to them.

I know this is such an inconsequential thread to post in because as soon as people see my home instance they’ll turn off their thinking caps, but like you said, literally any organizing is better than none. Go join a fucking sewing club or a running group. Sew blankets for the unhoused, keep your body and others healthy. See? See how that’s infinitely better than voting for the Genocide But Slower party? You don’t even have to bring up politics in your orgs, just fucking do something.

Neither you nor I have to do it because it’s going to be forced upon us as Americans’ material living conditions continue to worsen.

The difference is that if we do it ourselves it’ll be a lot less traumatic and violent that it will be if it’s forced upon us.
