I was reading the Promise Mascot Agency art book and it really illustrates (no pun intended) why AI will never be able to create art.
Art is a team process, created by people sharing their experiences and culture. It starts from the very beginning and lasts the entire project. Even simply using genAI to create concepts completely negates this.
Executives jumped on the idea of using AI to replace creative talent specifically and from the start simply because the sort of people who climb corporate ladders have never liked, respected, valued or trusted creative talent. It’s a thing they don’t possess, don’t understand, don’t value, can’t quantify and can’t control, and that frustrates and intimidates them.
