The biggest problem with any cryptocurrency base protocol is very simple, just like IoT or Cloud computing:
Just because you can shove blockchain based technologies into it does not make useful or relevant. If they were just pet-projects that’s fine. However some developers actually listen to these obscure github projects(if they even open the code) and some have big money behind their backs.
I’m afraid due to that normal folks (which is what matters) will probably hear 1st about shitty Web3 than the fediverse.
