funny enough he’s hated by both anarchists (because of makhno) and stalinists (because reasons).

is this some falun gong sh*t?
i’d say that it would be the case of turning her down with her parents present as in some sort of intervention.
also, speak to her firmly, avoiding second interpretations, that the two of you cannot be involved in any way, and if she continues her behaviour she will face legal consequences. time to learn that if you f*ck around, you’ll find out.

and proselitizing. don’t forget proselitizing. if possible go to squares and city centers, perhaps with a small table or tent, lots of pamphlets and some good will to explain.
to most modern “leftists” olof palme would be a tankie.
Most of them are 3rd world countries because of these movements…
with perhaps the exception of south korea and with some good will taiwan, not a single capitalist country reached the so called “developed” status coming from underdeveloped. all of those who did received a downpour of american taxpayer money.
let’s just forget for a second what he did or not in epstein’s island, being a billionaire is bad wether the person is an asshole or not. it means we live in a socio-economic system that enables someone to concentrate an insane amount of resources and decide solely out of his mind how to direct the spending of those resources. that they are not being used entirely to solve global warming or world hunger or disease issues is problematic and it’s not some token value spent on charity or point-based solutions that is going to change that. the fact that he doesn’t want to break the patents of covid vaccines is pretty much an example that, when pressed hard enough, he will act on the interest of his class, regardless of what he personally thinks.
the fact that he associated with epstein, independently of his reasons, is just the cherry on top of that shit sundae.
did you just noticed that you are literally defending that it’s ok for someone to go to a secret posh brothel which happens to have underage children as sex workers? that this isn’t a character statement on someone?
billionaires shouldn’t exist in the first place. there’s no way such amount of resources is going to efficiently be used by one single person.
i’'m tired of people complaining about bigoted america and “how i want to move to liberal europe”. move that lazy ass and topple that idiot in the white house and the system that makes him possible (yes, that means ditching the democrat party too).

vfreire85@lemmy.mlto Antiwork@lemmy.ml•Banker At US Firm Hospitalised With Pancreatic Failure After 110-Hour Workweek21·22 days agoit all comes, in the end, to how much money this person has: ceo’s of big companies normally have enough money to quit working altogether and still be able to keep their standard of living up until they die, and sometimes even of their descendants. therefore, they are part of the capitalist class. i doubt any of these analysts can do the same, and this is why they are part of the working class.
with the exception of some mom and pop cornershops, some state owned corporations and almost all worker-owned cooperatives, pretty much all of them can go. but i’d start with palantir.
