I’m a PM in a different field (science stuff). If anyone asked me to present on behalf of the science team, I would say no. It’s their work. Managing a team and timelines and budget does not mean I do the work. I think this is why when job searching I get a lot of interviews with dev and other tech. They just want competent managers. Gen X had to learn learn how a computer works at a pretty basic level just to be able to use one. I took basic computer skills and programming for the TI 994a in elementary school. Then another hardware/software class around 5th grade. It was pretty easy to troubleshoot anything hardware or software until the mid 2000s.

I kind of accidentally started intermittent fasting. Never ate much breakfast, got really busy for a while. I ended up eating one big meal late afternoon. My kids eat early, and after cooking and the late meal I’m just not hungry. Now I can’t even eat a big meal (usually). 30 lbs down and most of the time it hasn’t felt like a sacrifice at all. I eat whatever I want for about 4 hours.
