I recently bought a Brother Innov-IS and found it really easy to get started with. Didn’t think I would enjoy sewing this much.
No, it would just be the 🤣 emoji in different colors.
I wouldn’t even call this “aesthetics”. Rather “conceptual homogeneity” or something like that. It’s what happens when you strive for a uniform look over a useful or visually pleasing one.
I swear my upstairs neighbors have bowling balls where other people have feet.

(or, a mini feedback on Bulgakov's Master and Margarita)31·10 months agoThe political atmosphere certainly played a part. But this is true for both sides of the iron curtain, where Soviet literature was suppressed outside the Soviet area of influence, while Russian authors who did not align with the Soviet values were relentlessly suppressed (and imprisoned or killed) in the Soviet Union.
There are also some authors of whom I would say that at least some of their works were highly regarded both in and outside the Soviet Union, such as Maxim Gorki (Mother), Boris Pasternak (Doctor Zhivago), and Mikhail Sholokhov (The silent Don).
You know what, you’re absolutely correct. Enjoy!
I can appreciate a Jane Austen reference. Well done.

Can also second some books others have mentioned, like Dune (one of my all-time favorites) and Three Body Problem (for a recent one I liked, although it was a bit “rough” in terms of style and storytelling).
It’s related to SugON.
