I use Garuda, you just install the Nvidia version and the updater handles updates automatically whenever you run it.

I dunno, I use Garuda and it’s an Arch distro. It’s been super user friendly and I’ve only had to learn console stuff when I wanted to mess with stuff most casual users wouldn’t be bothered with.

And maybe you would say, “well that’s not really representative of a normal Arch install” but isn’t that the point of different distros? That anyone can build on functionality to do something like make Arch more user friendly?

I hear you, but what if maybe, I know this is crazy, the government only took from the people but didn’t actually provide any services to them. It could be soooo profitable!

Bazzite was my first and was great and easy. If you don’t like the immutable aspect, check out Garuda.

Bazzite was my first first into Linux. I loved it overall, the thing that eventually made me switch was that the login screen background was locked behind immutability. It’s stupid, but matters to me. I’m on Garuda now and it has been great too.

I tried Bazzite as my first try with Linux for a while and liked it; it was super easy. I didn’t like that the immutability went so far as to lock me out of some parts of the OS that I thought should be open, like lock screen customization.

Now I am on Garuda Arch and it has been really easy too.

Hey guys, this right here is a super valuable point to address and really strikes straight to the heart of the ability of a system like this to give the illusion of choice. People absolutely will still think, despite this, they are still in control and we need to address it not dismiss it.

There are no roles, only consequences. The real question here is what are the consequences, and we can’t know that.

Start looking at jobs at your local city and county governments. A lot of them still come with actual pensions.

I have no problem being a man while also acknowledging that sexual assault by men is a problem that is big enough that it has created a “caution culture” where people teach their daughters to be vigilant and women will cross the street if someone is walking behind them to stay safe. It isn’t like this is overblown, studies vary but all agree it’s somewhere more than one in ten women are victims of sexual violence in their lifetime. That’s a non-dismissible statistic.

Sure sexual assault by women is a thing too, but men tend to handle it differently than women do. All we are doing here is acknowledging that in our culture “male stranger danger” is a thing that exists and is pervasive and strong enough that many women would be willing to risk the bear because at least it won’t rape them.

Why would you be taking that personally?

The fact that you think the point of this is your status and not someone else’s safety says so much.

Because the customer has become an entitled piece of shit and you don’t tell an abuser “you’re welcome.”
