Ahh, I get that reference. I fell asleep when I tried to watch the actual movie. Thanks.
I don’t get it, but I’m upvoting.
This is awesome! I wish I had seen this a couple of years ago. I had a Comp-Sci class where we had to submit our assignments through Github, but we weren’t given much info on how to use it. We were just sort of thrown into the deep end of the pool.
If you use Ublock Origin, here’s a filter that will hide lemmynsfw posts on your main page. Filters should work the same on all major ad blockers, but I can’t vouch for that.
! 2023-06-21 https://lemmy.world
lemmy.world##.post-listing:has-text(@lemmynsfw.com)
ELI5 explaination:
the first line is just so Ublock can keep different filters and domains organized
lemmy.world## - only use this filter on this site
.post-listing - evaluate everything on the page with the class name post-listing
has-text(lemmynsfw.com) - the text we want to filter
Of course if the site gets updated and the layout changes, this filter won’t work anymore. I’m on VLemmy, so I can’t really test it on lemmyworld. Let me know if it doesn’t work. Cheers.
At this point I expect Reddit to go full Wells Fargo and start creating multiple accounts for users, just to impress investors with growth numbers.
Thanks. I never tried Pixelfed, but from what I could get from their homepage, they don’t support mp4.
I’m not on Mastodon, but have some friends who are. I’ll ask them about it.
I’ve been looking for a TV for awhile now, and I’ve found that there aren’t really any practical dumb ones. There are a few models, but they’re more expensive and have lower specs, cheaper panels, fewer menu options, etc.
Overall, the smart TVs are going to be cheaper/better because the company plans to make money on target ads, data mining, etc. Just don’t connect it or enter a wi-fi password. Sadly that’s where we’re at now.
