I’ve seen so many rude americans, thats its easier to just say “americans” one wouldn’t know where to begin otherwise.
Male, Dutch, HSP, INFJ, Into all things Tech and SciFi. Love my dogs and my birds.

Such is life.
I have learned that i really don’t need “the love of my life” to have a healthy and active life. But that also means i won’t settle easily. Any future parter will have a hard time proving why i need them :)
I never got over the breakup with the love of my life. 20 years ago and i’ve been single ever since.
One needs to get rid of the “but it works like so and so on Windows” attitude. That fixes half the problems switchers have. :)
I took no offense to it ;-) I see the point of the poster. But i also don’t think i’ll be using AI to fix some minor mistakes i make because english isn’t my first language ;-)
I took no offense to the message anyway :-)
I see the point of the message. I still dont plan to use AI though. English is my 3th language, people who take offense to my spelling errors… Well thats their problem, not mine.
I must admit its been a while, but all these things where horrible last time i played with them.
Well, i’m interested in a serious answer?
Ismt that the universal question with moet things americans do these days? ;-)
I’d give him the keys, the passwords, and wish him good luck with my life. BUH BEYE!
I started talking. Very ackward i am.
Its Configuration Management, so why would that not apply to Desktops? :)
We use it in Linux Servers, Windows Servers, Linux Desktops, Windows Desktops, etc etc :)
I used to be all for “keep encryption encrypted!!!1!!!”
But recent worldly events have got me thinking a bit. So many people are so easily corrupted, that i’m beginning to see her point. But at the same time i think privacy IS a fundamental human right.
These are nasty times for all of us. And clearly there is no easy answer.
Look into Friendica then :)
I’d try a wiki of some sorts. Personally we collect a lot of stuff in our bookstack instance. Recently we’re looking into tools that can save a page for offline usage.
Thats why i’m mindfull about my data :) But not to the point that i worry about it constantly, or that i dont do or say stuff “because… data” if you know what i mean :)
This is true :) but its unlikely that i’m going out like that 😂
I certainly don’t care. Once i’m dead, none of that will matter. And since i’m certain i will die, none of that matters.
I live my life conscious about data gathering, but i wont hide myself or stop doing things i lime because of it.
In the end, in 200 years noone will know who i was. Not even Lemmy.
I live in Arnhem, the Netherlands. My city got its fame during WW2. We also have several WW2 commemoration events. So far i’ve always seen Chinese people with camera’s, taking pictures etc. While most americans ive met always seem to ignore or twist facts. One time i even met an american couple whom insisted we lied about everything, because america saved us. It’s not justifnorant, its downright frustrating and hurtful.
