i_lost_my_bagel@seriously.iamincredibly.gayto Linux@lemmy.ml•What feature are you dying for to come to your DE - Linux?3·2 years agoWayland needs stacking window managers that aren’t just KDE and Gnome. I want more things like openbox. There’s labwc but that’s it.
And also Wayland needs more customization programs designed around stacking window managers. Waybar, yambar, and others are all only designed for tiling window managers.

You can’t set 2 different DPIs for the monitors on X11. On one monitor everything is just going to be bigger than the other. Depending on the DPI difference it can be basically unusable.
If your monitors are different DPIs then multimonitor X11 is awful.
If you’re questioning why anyone would have monitors with different DPIs remember that laptops exist.

i_lost_my_bagel@seriously.iamincredibly.gayto Linux@lemmy.ml•Should I switch to Wayland?31·2 years agoI’m not switching on my main laptop until xwayland app scaling is figured out. Either figure out how to make the apps scale properly or just leave them tiny on my screen. None of this stretching them to fit and making them blurry bullshit.
I use it on everything else because all my other computers don’t have high dpi screens.
