I loved the FF8 card game. It was so sad that you had to choose to used up some cards if you wanted some equipments if I recall correctly. It would be nice to not have to choose to keep all cards or have all equipments os spells

OP, don’t go with the hype, don’t go arch Linux as your first distro, you can change to it later when you get more comfortable and feels like having a more hands on approach.

PS: I don’t think that matters but just in case, I am an arch user for at least 12 years already as my only OS (except work computer) and I find it wild that so many people recommends arch Linux (or any of its derivatives) for beginners. I can only guess how many people get burnt and give up on Linux because of it.

In theory yes. In practice you cannot expect that every user maintains a server and one with internet facing ssh, specially a message app and the average non technical user.

I didn’t know Jacques Brel by name but I when to check it out and the first YouTube suggestion was Ne me quittes pas and I recognize it, very sad and very beautiful indeed.

There is a bunch of melancholic songs but what that always comes to mind and I enjoy since I was a teenager is this 3 songs by Moby:

• Porcelain, the video clip is nothing special, just abstract.
• In this world, this is the saddest clip, the poor cute aliens.
• Why does my heart feel so bad?, The clip is cute and kinda sad.

It has being some years for me too. But if my memory serves me right there is this scene I think in the later half that 2 of the main characters break in a house, I guess it is the witch’s mother house I don’t quite remember but the background music did not match the vibe at all.

River is really good. It is a detective show and is aa limited series which I like because there is no fillers. Also it stars Stellan Skarsgård which is always great.

The Fall is also great. Also detective, this one Gillian Anderson going after a serial killer. I think her character is really good.

Dark is super famous, at least in my corner of the woods. IIt as all the rage if anything it is kinda overrated.

I could not get over the tone shift. It was so baffling for me, one moment a super sinister and serious tone and the next scene was all comedy with a soundtrack that would not be out of place in the 3 stooges. I saw it to the end but was constantly getting out of the immersion with the change to comedy sprinkled all over the place.

That is the way to go. Any point in time in the past is generally worse than the present. So just go back enough to fix something in our own life’and maybe play the lottery or some stock trading to get set for life.

I also recommend It Follows. It is so different. And the characters don’t act dumb. And everything makes sense in the context. Like why they dont get a car or catch a plane, because they are broke teenagers.

One way I like to describe it is that They took one this witch trials account/documents, took it at face value and just recreated it as an historical movie.

That may vary. In my country if you want to split the bill some places will give a different number for each person but the most common is everyone at the table calculating how much each consumed and taking turns to pay your part whilst the waiter add all to make sure that the bill was all payed.

But in the US I was very surprised when the waiter asked at the end if we wanted a separate bill and they knew what each one ordered and they came back with 4 bills. I was very impressed. Granted I didn’t when to that many places in group so not sure how common it is.
