Afaik this is not possible but you should be able to follow a Lemmy community using your Mastodon account Federation is from Lemmy to Lemmy for the most part as far as I understood it yet

I’m looking for a Journaling community but it seems like there is none one no server (or it’s not federated with my instance yet)
Maybe it’s checking for if it’s an actual Mastodon instance and recognizes that it’s another software so it prevents it?
I guess it’ll depend on the size of the community you create. There maybe will some time in the future where it’ll take you some time to moderate the community. But I guess that if the community gets as large as this and you don’t want to invest that much time you can look for people who’ll help you with the moderation.
