I’ve heard that the UK’s Conservative Party (Tory’s) are more aligned with the US Democrats in their outlook than the US Republicans. The Tory’s are generally considered our right wing (there are smaller more right wing parties though).

Are you having a stroke? Is there someone I can call for you?

allywilson@lemmy.mlto Linux@lemmy.ml•Should I get a sysadmin certification for Oracle Linux?19·3 months agoOracle Linux (up until 9.3 I think?) is a direct clone of RHEL. After 9.3 (or maybe it’s 9.2) it’s a best attempt clone of RHEL (similar to Alma Linux or Rocky Linux). If you want to learn RHEL then it’s a fairly decent equivalent with a couple of their own quirks thrown in (ULN, ksplice and the UEK).
Also, I don’t bother with certs or care if people have them. I have yet to find someone who knows a product better having got the cert than someone who’s used the product without a cert.

And therefore God cannot know, therefore he cannot have a plan.
allywilson@lemmy.mltoNo Stupid Questions@lemmy.ml•if catholics (and others) truly believe in heaven, why does the pope ride around in a bullet proof pope mobile?1·4 months agoExactly. If they are destined to get hit by a bus or not, it doesn’t matter, God wills that they will or won’t. So why bother looking when crossing the road?
