Not just about the music, either. You’d also get local traffic and weather occasionally, and if there was some important news to report on, that would take precedence.

Outright revolt will not work right now. There needs to be a much greater groundswell of support for that first. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

It’s going to be a loooong time before a proper revolution happens, even if that’s not out of the question. In the meantime, as many people as possible should !resist@fedia.io, in as many small ways as possible.

There’s plenty of preparing and learning that can be done in the meantime. I always recommend pepper spray for everyone. Always have your camera at the ready. Build relationships with like-minded people near and far. Get in a mindset of paying close attention to the world around you, seeking creative opportunities, and figuring out your own risk threshold.

A lot of people are scared right now, for good reason. Seek to support the vulnerable, and to give pause to those who threaten them.

The Walgreens closest to me had those installed for maybe a month before they went back to glass doors. Fucking hated those things. Completely annoying when they’re working as expected.

Turns out, if you’re further left than either realistic candidate (because FPTP), it makes it really easy to figure out who you should vote for. “I wonder if I should vote for the person who’s not left enough for my liking, or the one is so far beyond that as to be the diametric opposite of left. Whatever shall I do?”
