I’m going to tell you an answer you don’t want to hear and is completely serious. You should stop caring about this and walk away. Nobody is going to care about a Steam forum ban from years ago. This will never show up during background checks, won’t hurt you financially, and isn’t a measurement of your character as a human. The only people who would care would be the typical internet freaks which if you’re interacting or communicating with such people you’ve already messed up. The interactions you had with the creator sound parasocial in nature so it’s not like he’s going to remember you (specifically your Steam name). While I understand that this is a community and pursuing passions is commendable at the end of the day the Steam Forums are there to support the facilitation of selling video games not the enrichment of the human experience.

You need to take a moment and realize you care too much about a Five Nights at Freddy’s forum.

I haven’t been to a concert since COVID.

I hate the Rocky Horror Picture Show because I used to have to clean the theater I worked at after midnight showings of the movie.

When I was broke and I was living with a roommate I bought a Humble Bundle with Sims 2 included. Played it for a while and eventually started a new save creating my roommate and myself in a small house the size of our apartment.

A couple hours in and the virtual two of us were sitting on a couch while virtual me played a video game. This was happening while my roommate and I were sitting on a couch and he was watching myself play the Sims (pc hooked up to television) watching the virtual us do the same thing.

The same thought hit us both at the same time. It got too existential for us at that point and I had to stop playing. I never picked the Sims up after that.

It depends on context and conversation. I get 👍 replies to my comments at work which 80% of the time means whatever I’m about to break in the code base nobody is currently working on.

I stopped feeling I had imposter syndrome about a year ago. Now it feels like everyone has long covid and keeping a coherent thought in your head for longer than five minutes is a super power.

I think you can just purchase a passenger ticket on some freight ships. I remember stumbling on the subject on YouTube like 3 years ago. Try doing a search for “passenger on freight ship” into YouTube.
