My memory is shot so who knows what else I thought was good this year but Super Smash Bros Melee will always be in my heart, especially when it’s something as insane as a Yoshi for the first time since the game released 20+ years ago, who also isn’t from the strongest region (NA), to win a tourney.

Don’t speak for me boyo, I’m 110 days clean

It’s, “Objects in mirror MAY be closer than they appear,” dammit!
I’m not crazy, you’re crazy!
It’s pretty clean. I moved here a few years ago and have never gotten the feeling that it’s dirty. Around the homeless camps though it can be a little rough though.
Klystron@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What app you americans use for personal conversations?51·2 years agoThe problem in the US is that the iPhone has a huge amount of the market and iMessage mostly does that already. For Android to counter that you have to use a 3rd party app, which further fractures an already smaller market. Or everyone could just use sms which is free with basically every plan nowadays, which gets you by.
Klystron@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What app you americans use for personal conversations?4·2 years agoAlways interesting when I hear people’s families use something other than the default in the US. What started that? Were your parents always concerned about privacy? Did you somehow convince them to use that app? What about when they text someone who isn’t on signal, which is probably 90% of the US? I could get my family to download the app but I feel like it’s pointless because no one else uses it so they would just quit.

Does chipotle? Baja fresh? Farmer Boys? Local mom and pop joints? I wonder who makes that decision and how it’s made.
Klystron@sh.itjust.worksto Privacy@lemmy.ml•Usually connect to Walmart's WiFi but they changed their policy I guess, won't be doing that now...2·2 years agoI do it with everything. The only people who have my real email address are my family. Everything else is a masked email. It’s especially nice because if I start getting spam on one email I can immediately tell which site sold my info and I never use that site again.
The tradeoff is you do 90% less work (job depending)… I’ve beaten cyberpunk, baldurs gate 3, starfield, and I’m replaying cyberpunk again all this year at work.
Klystron@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Seriously, though. How often do you think of the Roman Empire?30·2 years agoWell in 5th grade I read Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief and later on every book after that. And there’s still a part of me that thinks I might be a demigod. So Monday, Wednesday, Friday, it’s the Greeks and Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday it’s the Romans. Sunday is a toss up.
Beat me to it. Just don’t get hit
Fastmail integration for masked emails! If you already have an email provider you like then yeah not much to offer. But if you’re like me a few years ago and was looking to get off of chromes password manager and gmail, then 1password and fastmail is a nice combo.

Klystron@sh.itjust.worksto Privacy@lemmy.ml•Rossman a delightful rant against uncancellable subscriptions8·2 years agoI had a subscription with special pricing to my local paper. After the introductory period was over, they raised the price from like $5 a month to $22. I didn’t want to pay that much so I went to cancel but they do one of those, sorry, you can only cancel by calling us and listening to us plead with you to keep your subscription. I ended up just changing my card to a virtual one with a penny on it and after a thousand phone calls and mailers and a few months they finally auto cancelled my subscription. In this scenario, you’d still be pegged with a negative remark where you’re from?
I had never seen that before… It’s so accurate lmfao
