Seinfield
Futurama
Southpark (earlier seasons were more rewatchable)
The office
How i met your mother
Black books
Scrubs
I dont see them as endless reboots i see them as repeated assaination attempts.
This is a good analysis of the shows life cycle where its pretty clear the show was fucked over repeatedly by the networks hosting it and its just refused to die. A case of when fans love something by execs dont.
If a movie is going to end is it worth watching?
I remember watching a congress inquiry or something into something like student debt or subsidies (iirc) where comedian/tv personality Hasan Minaj was included in the panel. He was a bit out of place next to the usual gov office types cracking jokes half the time (although never inappropriate) and serious the other half and i think someone even noted his presence there being strange. I forget if it was someone in the video or just a comment below the video but they pointed out that they wouldn’t have even been watching this legislation discussion if it wasnt for him and his occasional humorous answers or comments and i realised i wouldnt be watching either. Im not even american.
If comedy is the gravy you need to put on some veggies to make them more palatable for people to consume them then by all means, pour that shit on and get people interested and engaged with the issues at hand.
The every day person doesnt have to agree or change their mind, they just need to be aware and informed so when it comes the time to vote or support a choice they are given then they at least have some further knowledge beyond ‘my political team is going this way so i suppose ill do that’.
I dont want to be another i-dont-care-ican
What are we gonna do Franco, Franco Un-American

You are correct, i had this back to front. I need more sleep.
You could say i was too tired.
Who you know, and the opportunities they afford is a game changer for career trajectory.
The big reason to pay money or get into a good school isnt that the education is of that much higher quality, its about who your friends are, and more importantly what their parents or parents friends do. You have a friend all through school and one day you are like ‘i wanted to get an internship somewhere but im not sure how to go about it’ and then your friend is like ‘oh my mum/dads friend is a senior manager/team leader at XY good company, im sure they can find you a placement.’
But saying this, it is “who you know not what you know” until your in the job and its a matter of time until it becomes “what you know and who you know won’t save you”, except the rare circumstances where your working for dad in the whitehouse or something.
‘Tyre’ is the american bastardisation spelling, so maybe he is from the USA.
Edit: the opposite is true. I am dumb.
For the ‘remove the accumulation’ part - get a pack of microfibre clothes. One wipe over a surface will be enough to get most dust, plus they do a great job of windows & mirrors, windex/glass cleaner is much more effective followed up with microfibre rather than another cloth or paper towels.
Once the cloth gets a bit of dust built up put aside and use the next clean cloth and keep cleaning, throw them all in a normal wash whenever you’re done (just do NOT use fabric softener).
I have never thought of it this way, thanks i think ill take this on board.
Sizing has got much worse in recent years, ever since the uprise of ‘fast fashion’. Its in companies best (profit) interests to have less sizes that covers other similar sizes. What used to be a XS, S & M may now just be a “S” size, but made with slightly more room in some areas and stretchier fabric to allow for it to fit as a slightly larger size.
Why carry 7 sizes when you can carry 3 sizes?
Couple this with clothes & goods being made with lower cost manufacturing techniques and materials so they dont last as long, fit as well or resist as much wear & tear.
Profits, profits, profits.
If you after carbonated go a whiskey highball.
Having said this an old fashioned is my go-to as i am a neat scotch drinker typically and this fits well (especially while i am out somewhere and dont want to pay “bar prices” for scotch).
And since the old fashioned is a bit flexible i migrate from rye to bourbon to scotch and loop back again, it keeps it interesting and its super simple if you want to drink it at home.
All you need is bourbon/scotch/rye, bitters, cherry or orange peel & simple syrup (make your own with sugar+water).
Too sweet? Use less simple syrup or use rye whiskey.
More flavour? Use more bitters.
Like smokey? Squeeze the orange peel zest over a lighter flame
Honestly why 3d print any tools that are expected to handle significant force, its much more practical to make a hammer out of a sturdy bit of wood and shape a bit of steel to go on the end than it is to print one and expect it not to break the first time you use it. What if the nail is still sticking out and needs to be knocked in again a second or third time? Especially in a country where every hardware store sells hammers and there are hammer club catch ups where you can also get them from other hammer enthusiasts.
The whole 3D printed hammer thing is sensational journalism hyped up over a theoretical issue that really isnt an actual issue.
Vegemite is superior to marmite, but crumpets are best with butter & honey/golden syrup.
Me too, know my way around a computer but have never setup a linux distro or anything like that… yet.
I left in one of the mass exodus waves of reddit (during the api changes) and i feel like its not that consequential to be one person less on one of the biggest sites on the internet, but every person counts. Especially when what is becoming increasingly apparent is that all reddit will soon have is bots and ‘normies’ who use reddit instead of facebook/whatever.
Just FYI that cleaning spark plugs is actually a thing. Not common but sometimes they can get ‘fouled’ from things like oil or incorrect air/fuel mixtures.
Metalcore.
I love the raw emotion you can hear and feel in harsh vocals, usually the lyrics and themes explored in this genre are best expressed with screams, and sometimes its the only appropriate way to rail against injustices and corruption or express the anguish and headache of emotional struggles.
I also love the contrast that clean vocals provide, usually with pop-like hooks soaring into catchy choruses or just to really bring a juxtaposition with the harsh vocals to give even more depth to the things that are sung and the things that need to be screamed. And sometimes the heart wrenching emotion that the cleans can provide [listen to Gone With the Wind by Architects]. (Note: not all metalcore has both clean and harsh vocals, but often a combination of both)
And the music itself is high energy, driving beats rapid double bass drum patterns and catchy guitar riffs with often unpredictable tempo changes and transitions to take you by surprise and keep your brain buzzing with anticipation, and not to gloss over the breakdowns. Oh when that tempo drops, guitars chugg and the drums start crashing china cymbals like a thunderstorm erupting around your head and you just feel the need to bang your head feeling like your heart is beating out of your chest and electricity is coursing through your veins.
Anyways, i think its pretty good music.
Im pretty sure a lot of these tracking widgets are invisible/zero size/offscreen too, so its not just a ‘click here to share’ button but purely a User_ID36ax48dd99y42s52l840a2648 visited this site at 15:37:23 on 20250405 and looked at X.
