Cake, pizza, chocolate, burgers, ice cream, candy, hot chocolate, soda, pancakes, omelets, chicken, s’mores, salads, peanut butter, rice, sandwiches, and many more things I can’t think of right now.
I never fell for it. I hope none of my siblings did, either.
I would have thought that data would be worth more. Maybe the AI guys will just steal it, instead?
When a casual acquaintance asks my political leaning, I say Democrat to keep things simple. But, really, I’m a Bernie guy. I don’t want to talk politics, and trying to explain that Democrats are actually center-right is just too much effort to put into… well, just about everyone nowadays.
Why not both?
If money is the only motivation, and especially if some part of the job is demotivating for you (maybe ethically speaking), then I’d count that as burnout. Remember, they can never pay you what you’re worth, because then there’d be no profit for them to leech. Also, the corporate entity has no morality. It’s just a machine.
I’m making the transition. I use both, for now.
I use StartPage because it does image search, and none of the AI BS.
Lemmy is closer to what Reddit was 15 years ago, before the masses piled in and made Reddit literally average.
Most of us are Reddit refugees, so we’re bringing all that baggage with us, whether we want to or not.
The main draw of Lemmy for me is the feeling that I’m less exposed to the corporate BS.
