There are so many examples of the parties not being the same that there’s no other way to look at your opinion than as ignorant to the extreme.

A quick perusal of the voting history of both parties destroys this ridiculous opinion.

I work on a help desk. We hired multiple Zoomers and they literally don’t understand how computers work. They don’t know what the registry is. Or what POST means. Or how to properly back up a user’s data without using automated software.

I know it’s a typical answer. But there’s a reason for that.

That book will put the fear of fascism in you in a way that even actual history doesn’t. That book caused me to take historic examples of fascism more seriously and personally.

Great way to have Republicans in power for the rest of our lives. I can’t see how anyone who voted 3rd party in November can STILL think it was a smart decision despite immediately finding out it wasn’t.

One of the most frustrating things in my whole life is how people simply cannot grasp that you cannot cheat code your way to voting a 3rd party presidential candidate into the Oval Office. Like, is it that difficult for people to understand that parties have to start winning locally, then getting representatives in state offices, then in the House and Senate, before a new party could even stand a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning a presidential election?

These fools need to stop fucking around with presidential election votes and start voting for a 3rd party in their local/state elections. Totally fucking pointless to vote 3rd party for president. You’re literally just ushering in Republican presidents by doing that shit.

As you said, it’s far more realistic to put pressure on the Democratic party to change than engage in a fantasy scenario where everyone holds hands and votes a 3rd party into power out of literally nowhere.

But, as you can see by your downvotes, people just want what they want right now. Logic be damned.

A large swath of Americans have made it clear they don’t care to pay attention and won’t care until it personally affects them.

So we’re simply going to have to watch our nation decline until the majority of Americans have personally been affected. Then we’ll begin a long, difficult path to gaining back what we lost, just to get back to where we were before the decline happened. Then we’ll be happy to be back in the same shitty situation we were before and probably let things slide back into a decline again.

Americans are stupid. And there’s nothing you can do to change that.

Conservatives aren’t suffering

They are, they just aren’t aware they are, so in a way they’re not.

Travel around the U.S. A lot of conservative America looks like a 3rd world country. They suffer. They just aren’t aware, because they don’t travel. They don’t expand their perspective through knowledge. Rural conservatives will arguably suffer more than any other group under conservative leadership. But ignorance is bliss.

Been super happy with NordVPN for years.

People will complain about them advertising on YouTube. Why would I care about that? Companies advertise.

People will complain about them not having port forwarding. This doesn’t matter for the majority of VPN users. If it does, use a different one.

As far as I know, this only matters if you’re hosting a VPN server or torrenting, and you can just buy a static IP from Nord for cheap, like all their services. Personally, I don’t torrent on VPN because I just ignore all the DMCAs I get and have never had a problem, probably because I’m not a notorious uploader. And it wouldn’t affect your ability to download torrents if you don’t have port forwarding on VPN, just your ability to upload.

For the vast majority of VPN users just looking for anonymity while they surf/download, port forwarding it not necessary.

And, personally, if I did need it, I’d find a VPN service that provides it without its CEO prostrating themselves to a rapist.
