Gaming laptops usually have atrocious battery life, especially ones with Intel i9s and comparatively weak GPUs. Means they put the whole budget of the laptop into the CPU and nothing else.

Whenever you have applications were implementations are plentiful the only real differentiation you can do without creating a different user experience is the technologies used to develop it.
